GE 10531 - 40 watt 48" Fluorescent Black Light Bulb (F40BLB)

I'm the technical director for our high school and I used these light bulbs to illuminate black light paint on stage. The bulbs did a great job. The effect was very successful. In addition, these bulbs were cheaper than any I could find locally. I was concerned that they wouldn't arrive in one piece, but they were packed very well. I was very satisfied with the entire process.

For Halloween this year I purchased two 48" backlights to highlight my daughters pin the fly on the sider game on a large chalk board in my garage. The effect was perfect except for the illumination of the black light bulbs that came with the black light. In researching the other bulbs available and one of the original bulbs breaking. I purchased these bulbs. I four a review that stated these were brighter and gave off a better black light effect. When I plugged these into the block lights WOW! what a difference they made. They were clear, bright and gave off an impressive backlight glow to everything around them. I am very pleased with this purchase!

Not much to say here... They work like any other blacklight fluorescent tubes. I installed them in my garage halloween before last, for a haunted house we had set up, and I have left them in ever since. All 4 of them are still running strong.They seem to work great in any standard 48" fixture. Sometimes the warmup takes up to 2 minutes, so they aren't always quite instant-on. Such is the case with any blacklight tube that doesn't use a starter-cap in the fixture.

These are the cheapest black lights that I could find. I searched multiple websites and places.The quality isn't cheap, but the price was the lowest around. I bought 16 of them to use for a 'cosmic' easter egg hunt.The kids loved the lights. They worked just great. These are some lights that i can keep around for a while. I also used themfor a bowling alley that we built and so the kids could go cosmic bowling. It was a great event and it was a great addition to have.You definitely want to wear white clothing so you really light up. Great product!

I thought Amazon was a safe place to shop but it looks like it is going the way of fleabay and Cost co, they are succumbing to the large wave of Chinese garbage that is hitting our shores. I saved this box to open today and install for a Halloween party and behold it is falsely advertised as a GE product but when I took it out of the box I learned it is a Chinese product with a different name and I am disappointed that I did not buy the Philips brand I saw at Home Depot for a lower price. I have seen the tide change at Cost co too, where i have had to return many TVs and electronics because they are no longer carrying good value priced items. Buyer Beware. I need to look into filing a complaint with Amazon.

Which has a reddish glow ( the 32 w does) in about the center third (1/3) of it. But this 40W is good, just a little pricey.

This light bulb changed my life! Ever since i got this bulb i've been able to do things that i've never been able to do before! Its so amazing that i would trade my three future children for just one more bulb! Just one more! This bulb was made by god himself! It came down from the mountain with tablets in hand! It spoke to me like a burning bush! I love this bulb so much that i left my wife for a deeper more meaningful relationship with this bulb!

It fulfills its purpose. Its a black light bulb and it works. However, it does produce an audible buzz when you're near it. As long as you have music on or on the other side of the room, its not noticeable.
