Probably, no, the best for oral hygiene. And I say that seriously as somebody that has an immune system that's been screwed up and spat out by a disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis and I have the aggressive form. Even with a determined and regular dental routine, I fell victim to gum problems with prolific bleeding. Mixing this with water and 6% hydrogen peroxide LIQUID in equal parts to make sure that the strength of peroxide was 3%!! And after just 3 washes with that the improvement was unbelievable. Solid neat to problem areas and BOOM!! Job. Dinner. But still rinsing after EVERY brushing at night. But now, it's off the market! The original makers sold the company, and the new company are actually MISSING TWO vital components that made this product the most sought after one of its kind ever! We just have to wait until all of the legalities are sorted out. So, in the next TWO decades or so, who knows?!

Great product, handy size, but, £10 for tiny bottle does sting

I really like having a bottle of TCP in my house, I grew up with it in my mothers cupboard and now I find comfort in having a bottle in mine. This is a great little travel size bottle and is good value for money. It has that overpowering disinfectant smell which you know will leave things clean. I like to gargle with a diluted 4:1 ration of water to tcp for an itch throat.

Hope this helps anyone with acne or big zits....After so many products I've used to help zits and mild acne....and after spending ££££....creams lotions. ..prescribed pills and gels...which all dried out my already dry skin (not all acne is caused by oily skin). A friend said try tcp....??? She said she used it on her spots (her skins perfect an d if she gets a spot...its always gone in a couple of days...now I know why and how). So started researching tcp for spots and acne....turns out alot of people use it. I woke up with a nice big cystic spot on my chin a few days ago....no head no option to pop an painful! Perfect chance to try out the tcp....so I cleansed my face...and got a cotten ball and put a little tcp on it....dabbed the spot. ..let it dry then applied my moisturiser. ...yep its a super strong smell. ..I don't mind it myself reminds me off being a kid and when I had my ears pierced lol! So got up this morning and I could kick myself....zit has gone right down reddness has subsided and no pain....kicking myself for spending a fortune on high end skin care products that never worked. ...going to tell my friend off for not telling me about this sooner lol! Going to try this as a diluted toner too. ..only to my problem area (chin) by mixing some tcp with water.... you should really try this if you have a spot. ...before splashing out on all the pricy stuff....it works so so well...think another night of this on my spot and it'll be gone. ..;) So I ordered this off amazon as I was buying few other things so thought I'd have a go...tried everything else!

I have only given 4 stars because TCP smells as bad as when I was a child 80 years ago! Surely they can make it smell better nowadays? Still very effective on rash though.

AHHHH the one and only Tom Cat Piss. Have used it my whole life and I'm 60. This stuff is amazing and everyone should have a bottle handy in the cupboard. I use it for scrapes, bites, cuts, any infection anywhere especially sore gums. Yes it smells, but it works. Suck it up.

Needed for my first aid kit to go abroad, but didn't want to lug a huge bottle with me. This is the perfect size. Good 'use by' date too.

Good, old fashioned but very effective treatment from this household iitem.
