Awesome if you have space
I've used the tent-cot twice now. My initial thoughts are that it is sturdy, easy to setup (5-10 minutes including rainfly), and is comfortable with a 26" Coleman Skinny Air mattress. There are a few drawbacks, it is bulky, so versus a standard tent, it takes up a lot more room in your car. It only folds down 34" x 34" and is 7" thick. If I were to do it again, I might go for a pop-up tent that the poles are already installed and are foldable, but this keeps you 11" off the ground which is nice getting up in the morning and no creepy crawlers near by. The carrying case would be better if they put on straps on instead of a handle so you can carry it like a backpack. It is too heavy to carry for long distances. I also wish it was a little wider to fit a standard air mattress, I had to get a coleman 26" wide skinny air mattress. It does the job, but a little more room to roll around would have been better. The length of the tent is excellent (90"), I am 5'11 and fit comfortably, and can put a fan at the feet of the tent with room. The rainfly kept me dry, not 1 drop entered the tent under a heavy downpour of about 20 minutes one night. For those who complain about moisture, the trick is to leave the tent doors up, and the screens closed, then have the rainfly on top, so that air can circulate inside the tent. I haven't had any moisture issues. I haven't had any high winds in the areas I've been camping, so I'm not sure how easy it will be to topple over. The legs seem sturdy and it's weighted towards the bottom which helps. Also, it has pockets inside the tent above the head and feet. The pockets face the top and bottom of the tent, this is designed for you to place your belongings while you're laying down. People have complained that the pockets are facing backwards, but they actually make sense the way they were designed. You can put your glasses away, right before you go to sleep for example. Also in the center of the tent on the roof there are two straps to tie down a flashlight or very light fan.Pros:SturdyEasy to setupComfortableRainfly includedCarrying case includedCons:HeavyBulkyNarrow for sleepingRecommendations:Purchase a 26" Coleman Skinny Air Mattress to accompany you.

Almost Perfect
I bought this for our regular weekend campouts with the Boy Scouts. It is exactly what I was looking for. Yes, as some have mentioned It is heavy, but since we only rarely hike into our designated camp spot, weight isn't a problem (a tent hammock takes it's place on backpack excursions).I haven't used it in just the cot configuration nor as the instructions say it can be used as a chaise lounge type seat so I can't speak on those aspects with too much knowledge about that. I will however say that neither looked too useful to the configuration, but some may like the option. That aside, my overall experience with this tent is highly favorable. The cot sets up easily, takes down easily, and is incredibly comfortable to sleep in. It has withstood gale force winds that blew the conventional tents nearly flat to the ground, kept me nice and dry in torrential downpours, and even provided a comfy nights sleep on numerous freezing winter campouts.I have only two complaints. The first is the same issue as some of the other reviewers have noted. Namely the tendency it has to keep moisture in creating condensation on the ceiling of the tent and an issue with tie backs. I haven't had any significant problems with condensation to this point, but it does occur and, especially on very frigid nights, you have to be careful moving around in the morning lest you get dripped on which is not a pleasant way to start you morning. It would have been nice if the ventilation issues could have been worked out a little better. The other area is tieing back the doors to increase air flow and/or ventilate it better. The tent uses a common nylon tie. the problem comes from location of said ties. One half is located on the outside of the tent the other on the inside. If you want to open both the screen and the solid door at the same time it isn't a problem but if you want to open just the nylon door alone (while leaving the screened one closed) you have to do some creative tieing as there isn't a second half to tie just the nylon door to. While this is a minor annoyance I think it should have been addressed as well. That said, the small issues I've found with the tent are a long way from diminishing my appreciation for it. The Kamp-Rite cot has provided some of the best night's sleep I've had in the woods in quite a while and has easily stood up to some of the nastiest conditions Mother Nature could throw at it. I highly recommend it!
