Great bike
Great bike my son’s had this for about a year and a half and the bike still runs strong. Great power, and lots of fun.

Fun, but doesn't work 6 months in
We got this for our 8 yo son's birthday. It was an expensive gift, but he absolutely loved it!! We take him offroad and he's a big fan of dirt biking. It worked great for a few months. When on the fastest setting he could zip through the dirt even uphill. We researched a lot before buying this one. He had a Razor 350 previously, but it didn't last long as the battery failed after 8-9 months. He is big for his age and a good biker so we wanted to get him something better for his birthday. At first this Motec bike was great. But, unfortunately it was short lived, and now it won't charge. No matter how we charge it, the battery won't charge. The replacement batteries are really expensive and we should not need to be replaced after only a few months. So it's just sitting in our garage with an unhappy 8yo.When it was working I was a bit disappointed in the battery life. The range is 9 miles, but that's if you drive it straight for 9 miles. That would take about 30 minutes which is the advertised battery life. When it was working it held a charge for about 30 minutes. If your child uses it like mine did, to ride around to their friends' houses, and they forget to turn it off, they'll be very sad that it dies pretty quickly. For the price, I would recommend finding a different bike. While it's a fun bike, it doesn't last which for over $1000 is a huge disappointment.

So far so good. Video of items not pre assembled Dec 2024
The media could not be loaded. What the kids like about it is it’s faster than the MX350 by a lot. They ride it up and down the street and grass, and just got smiles from my 11 & 9 year old. Most of the the bike was assembled except the handle bars, forks, front tire, front brake calipers, rear shock, front fender, number plate and rear splash guard. You have to twist by hand the upper fork mount 180 degrees to install the front shocks. Otherwise the holes to mount the shocks won’t line up. Make sure you have the correct spacer when mounting the wheel (longer one on the brake caliper side) or the calipers won’t line up with the brake disc. The Mount for the brake caliper should be positioned INSIDE the right shock (looking at the bike from the front). The bike charged. Curious to see how long the electronics last. I think they sent me the new version with the hydraulic brakes. Will try to post riding videos. Have a great day!

Arrives and performs as advertised
Motorcycle arrived two days early, opened up the box finding a complete product - no missing anything. Being mechanically enclined and having past experience with bikes was helpful in assembling the motorcycle as the instructions were very poor in terms of clearly explaining the assembly steps. Encountered an issue with front brake attachment and alignment, but pushed through the issue. Rear chain was adjusted a bit too tight. Manual mentions a fuse box of some sort that I could not find on the bike, my guess is that electrical was updated and manual did not reflect that. Charged as instructed, turned the bike on and was ready to ride. Bike runs great, I weight 178lbs and bike had no problem in all speeds. I purchased it for my grandson, and believe he is thrilled with it - highly recommend product for the price of just over $1,000.

Decent Product
Bike is pretty nice but did have a few issues. As others have mentioned, some steps are missing in the instructions but if you've got a bit of common sense you shouldn't struggle. It did takee about 2 hours putting together due to running into a couple pre assembly issues such as the top bracket for the forks being placed on backwards and a stripped screw for the mud cover, of which I included photos. Overall not bad.

Good but you need to know what your buying.
Brakes:If you plan to buy this bike you should plan to gamble on whether you will receive hydraulic brakes like advertised in the photos. It appears you should also expect to receive one of many different variations of this bike depending on the production lot you receive. This bike is advertised in the photos to have hydraulic brakes but mine did not have them. It may seem like a rather small discrepancy, however cable brakes on this bike are incapable of braking like hydraulic brakes will as well are impossible to adjust properly to provide even acceptable braking. Furthermore if you want hydraulic brakes like I expected to get you will have to spend another approximate $100 to equip the brakes it supposed to already have.Graphics:I chose orange as the color. However I received blue graphics with a full set of orange graphics in the box. However those graphics are for the 36v 1000w version. Though most of the graphics I received will fit many of the plastics of the 48v 1500w version, some will not due to the variations between the two models.Performance:I did a lot of research on this bike before I bought it and already anticipated on spending the money on the E&C controller and so should you if you invest in this bike. The bike is adequate as you receive it, however the controller it comes with is its weakest point. With response and power at the max setting you can tell it wants to give that power to rear wheel when you twist the throttle wide open but the controller almost immediately stops it. The E&C controller will solve that and make this bike what it should be from factory. However be prepared to invest an additional $600 if you want a usable bike.Assembly:The manual may not be the correct one for the bike you receive which was the case for me. I did my research via YouTube and MotoTec’ website.Again back to the manufacturers production variations you may get a bike packed in styrofoam or one surrounded by a metal frame. Depending on what you get will depend on how much assembly you have to do. Mine was in the styrofoam and the forks needed to be installed along with the rest. It’s not a big deal but you should know about it and know how to do it. The manufacturer suggests assembly by a person with mechanical experience. I would agree to this to a certain extent as far as assembly. In my opinion once you assemble this bike you definitely need to have some mechanical and motorcycle experience to fix the issues these bikes have. Go through all the nuts and bolts of this bike and make sure they are torqued properly. I could not find any torque specs at all on this bike so you will need to use your best judgement but be careful to not over torque. Make sure your chain slack and rear wheel alignment is correct.Final:This is actually a really great bike with a lot of potential. This bike can be awesome with the proper mechanical knowledge and experience and the proper electronics and parts to make it that way.I hope this helps anyone who is on the fence about buying this bike.
