Oh man... Kerrygold full packages right into the tub!
Good grief this is a great butter dish. We bought it specifically for the large Kerrygold butter blocks. We use it as a tub and use the plastic cover. The wood plate / cover was immediately thrown into the back of the cabinet above the fridge. The lid is very snug and easy to remove. I really like that it's light and will not break if dropped like all the ceramic dishes out there.I was not paid for this review and i paid full price for this butter dish. I'm truly just really happy to have this lightweight metal butter dish with a good lid.

Beautiful and Practical!
We've purchased the butter dish from this collection before and love it. It's stylish and actually looks good when left out on the counter top. These new dishes are half the size and come with a plastic storage lid which finally solves my issue of "how to store a brick of cream cheese"! I've got both the white & the charcoal colours, and I'm so excited to have a beautiful alternative to the flimsy disposable containers that aren't pretty enough to move from fridge to table. I'm imagining using these for butter when my other dish needs a wash, but also for blocks of feta, goat cheese, leftovers, herbs, etc. I'd love to see a similar lid in the butter dish's future!

Two lid options make this a must buy
I absolutely love this!! I have the larger version and the two stick version is just as great. Came with two lids, a plastic air tight lid and a beech wood lid. I use the beech wood lid if I'm using it for butter and the plastic lid for things I need to keep in the refrigerator. I love having the option of the two lids. This has a classic style with high function. Perfect neutral color perfect for blending in any kitchen. And pretty enough to keep out! Buying another to give as a Christmas gift.

Outstanding Butter dish!
Simple, functional, Looks awesome, holds two sticks of butter. The Huge Major difference for me was the Two Covers. Most all butter dishes have wooden or ceramic covers but this has a wooden one plus the snap on rubber/plastic lid one as well. The price is on the high side but looking at the various dishes it's ballpark. That rubber lid makes all the difference. This is the one to get!

Very nice butter dish.
The wood lid compliments the enameled dish. The plastic lid is great for storage. I needed a sturdy replacement for my broken butter dish. My cat got after the butter and pushed my old one off the counter. Butter is secure and the enamel dish wont break. What's not to like.

Perfectly sized and beautifully designed
I had previously ordered the larger butter tub with the wooden lid and loved it so I thought I would order the smaller version with the plastic lids.I found these to be really good for carrying my lunch to work. They are just the right size (yep, portion control people!) and the lids seal well so no need to worry about spillage. They also come with the wooden tops as well so you can still use them as general storage or serving dishes as well. They work well and look good. I use them all the time! It’s a great product.

THE TOP COVER THAT SEALS IS THE BEST BUT THE CERAMIC PART IS NICE AND THICK/ DURABLE. i USE IT UPSIDE DOWN LIKE A BUTTER BOWL FOR STICKS OF BUTTER. IT HOLDS 2 STICKS EASILY. THE WOOD BASE IS NICE....IT KEEPS THE BUTTER FROM MELTING SITTING ON A WARM SURFACE, SO ALL GOOD, ALL VERY NICE..

The best butter keeper EVER!!
I've been looking for a way to leave the butter out so it would be soft. All of the other butter keepers are worthless! This one doesn't have any water. It does seal tight. I use the plastic lid and the bam! Butter is soft and free from critters.

odd sized butterdish
Really cute container, but a butter dish it is NOT ... even though it seems - from the photo - that it should, it doesn't fit any part of the butter format as I find it at my grocer's. And, no, the description doesn't give dimensions, so when it says it takes a half pound of butter, that's not exactly truthful ...The plastic lid fits INTO the dish, further reducing available interior space. The wooden lid doesn't fit into the plastic lid snugly, it's not attached to the plastic - it's basically useless except as a tiny cutting board.I'd return it, but where would it end up? ... so will find another use for it or sell it privately ... It's a bit of a rip off ...
