Hair was soft and manageable
I shampooed my hair with a good quality rice shampoo then followed with THE LIVING CO. Strengthening Conditioner. I found it to have a light scent, kind of medicinal. I left it in my hair for the remainder of my shower since the instructions suggest leaving it in for a few minutes. It rinsed out easily without leaving any residue on my hair. My hair was soft and shiny afterwards, but lacked the body I’m accustomed to with the conditioner I usually use.My hair is medium length and a fine texture. I asked my daughter who has very long wavy hair to try it too to see how it would work on a different type of hair. She loved it. She said it made her hair more soft and manageable. It was smoother and didn’t get frizzy in the humidity as it often does. It’s my guess performance will vary according to hair type.I can’t comment on whether it helps control hair fall out or not. That would require extended use to see such results****About me: Integrity is very important to me. Reviews I've posted will be from items I've had direct contact with. These are my honest opinions. I will not post a review for a product I have not had personal contact with.

Left my hair soft
So here I was, in the shower excited to try this new conditioner. I made a point of opening it before I put it in the shower so remove any safety foil because it is so frustrating to try and remove those when your hands are wet. There was no foil but the bottle seemed full and it was fully wrapped in plastic when it arrived, so I wasn't concerned that it had been tampered with. I rinsed my shampoo and went to apply the conditioner and nothing would come out. I kept squeezing the bottle and shaking it like a ketchup bottle but the bottle felt really tight and nothing would come out. I took the top off and started doing the ketchup shake again, but it refused to leave the bottle. So I stuck my finger in the bottle to try and get some out and that is when I realized it had a plastic cap inside the bottle. In my defense, I have never encountered a hair product with this type of safety cap and I don't wear my glasses in the shower for obvious reasons. It took a hot minute to get my nail under the lip and get the plastic piece out but once I did, the conditioner came out of the bottle easily. I applied the conditioner and noticed that while it has a scent, it wasn't overpowering or offensive at all. I left the conditioner to set while I finished the rest of the shower routine and then rinsed it out. It came out easily. I allowed my hair to air dry and I was surprised at how soft my hair was. Even my husband commented on how silky my hair felt. My scalp still feels a little oily, but I am hoping that it will lessen with continued use.

Subtle, very slightly medicated, scent
This has a subtle, very slightly medicated, scent so suitable for men and women. It leaves hair feeling nice and silky too. A normal amount is needed – I have very long hair and so generally need a large quantity - and easy to apply and rinse off. There is one anomaly: the directions suggest you should avoid the hair roots, where most conditioners would suggest you apply a small amount here – if the product is advertised for itchy scalp I would suggest that an application at the roots was needed.

Read to find out how to remove plastic plug; Extremely effective at eliminating scalp itchiness
First of all, The Living Co Soothing Conditioner With Grapeseed + Methi eliminated my scalp itchiness. In addition, my scalp has remained itchiness-free for more than a week afterwards even though I have washed it multiple times and used a different conditioner during that time. That being said, this conditioner’s bottle is extremely difficult to open. It has a plastic plug with a very small stem that you are not able to grab in order to pull it out. Be sure to open it before getting in the shower since having wet hands will just ensure you'll have an even lower chance of removing the plug. After trying multiple ways, the easiest way I found that actually worked was to use the smallest screw driver I could find. Although I was trying to lift up one of the very stuck edges of the plug, what ended up happening is that when I inserted the pointed end of the screw driver into the small stem, only at that point did the plug easily come out.I would recommend to the company to get rid of the plastic plug since they have a product that works, but many people may not want to deal with a product so hard to open. Finally, even though the directions on this bottle say not to put the conditioner on your scalp, of course I did put it on my scalp since that is where I was hoping the conditioner would target. There was no hair greasiness at all after using it.I did notice that it left almost like a little residue on my skin after rinsing it out of my hair, so I am just going to make sure I rinse off my skin extra well the next time I use this. Given its very high effectiveness, I am not going to let that dissuade me from using this conditioner. On the contrary, to me it is just additional evidence that this is a unique formula that has ingredients designed to stay on the scalp, which is likely what’s needed to stop itchiness long term.I am extremely satisfied with this conditioner and very highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stop any scalp itchiness.

potent ayurvedic remedy for scalp and hair
I hadn’t heard of this company or these particular herbs (shikakai and amla), and it turns out that is because it’s a company in India who states they are “India’s favorite go-to scalp and hair health destination.” Their products are vegan, cruelty free, color safe, for all hair types, nontoxic, and paraben free. Instructions say to add a generous amount to hair after shampooing, taking care to avoid the roots and waiting a few minutes to wash it out. This is supposed to help with hair fall. It has a slight medicinal scent akin to peppermint but different; I’ve never smelled these ingredients before, so that’s interesting. A little research on shikakai shows this is a proven hair and scalp healer, even being called a magical remedy for how well it performs; after using this conditioner myself, I vouch for that aspect. It has improved my scalp and hair even after the first use, and you can bet after results like that I won’t quit using it! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up for this product.
