Richard Meier, Architect Vol 7

great quality as usual
You will find many of Richard Meier's works in this monograph published somewhere on the Internet or on the firm's social media. However, this absolutely does not affect an excellent quality, neat composition and elegant layout for the book. Illustrated by the sleeking and polish photos, this book provides clean drawings with bold lineweights of each project. If you are familiar with the previous volumes, you might miss some analytical diagrams which take reader throughout the building. Although it was replaced with some hand-sketch which bring a classical sense of architect, the lack of maps certainly reduces the value. Furthermore, I miss photos of project's physical model which totally absent in this book. Finally, this is a great book for Meier's. Really want to see him again in Vol 8.

More Meier. Follows on volumes 1 through 6 with the most current work.
As I have volumes 1 through 6, it shows that I'm a big fan so getting this one was a must. Both the architecture and the layout of the book, originally by Vignelli, are of the highest quality. For those that have followed Meier's work there has indeed been an evolution, subtle but definitely there. I'm not sure if this is because he is doing more large-scale residential work or the presence of Palladino. Either way, I like what I see.
