Works Great
Know that these take a while to get the full effect. Or at least with us, that was the case. Our old dog just loves to chase a ball and that caused him to have trouble and limp almost every time. We considered not throwing the ball for him, but that was just too cruel. We did have pills from the doctor that masked the pain. I got these and we started with two a day. At first we weren't sure if the pills were working, but he seem to not have as many limping moments and, gradually, after a few month, it just went away almost completely. There really hasn't been any limping for a long time. He was even getting up and acting as if his leg was asleep... just couldn't get up without limping. Now we do not see that at all. He gets up with no problems. He still would rather be picked up and put on the bed, but I think that's more manipulative than anything as we pick up our two smaller dogs for this very high bed. Of course, we oblige, but he jumps down and carries on whenever he wants. I don't know if these will work for your dog, but I promise you these have been nothing short of miraculous for our shepherd mix. I make sure we have plenty on hand so, we never run out. I feel awful guilty for the year or so he was limping around here after every play session.... Before we were constantly checking his paws trying to figure out why he was limping. No he plays and hasn't limped in months. Zip...Zada... He's still a little slower than he used to be, but he's no longer limping thru life. It did take a couple of months before we could definitely say the treats were working. So patience.

Good treats!
My vet wanted my dogs to go on a hip/joint supplement so this one seemed like a good value. One has a laundry list of bone and joint issues, the other is healthy but just getting older. Both my dogs really like the chews and eat them willingly as treats or crumbled onto their food. My vet seems satisfied with how my dogs are doing with these treats. I wouldn't say there was a dramatic improvement but the hip dysplasia/arthritis limp is decreased a bit and my other dog's "old lady knees" seem to bother her less often. The only thing I didn't like is that the bottle is really big (I have small dogs so they only eat 1.5 treats per day total) and by the time you get to the bottom of the bottle the last couple weeks the treats are dried out and starting to get hard because they've been exposed to air a lot. So I ordered a second bottle but I think I will put some in a smaller container for daily use then refill it from the original bottle as needed, so there is less air exposure.

Reidell is Going to Outlive All of Us
My dog is 17.5 years old and I swear she is immortal. We have long goodbyes when my son is home because he is afraid she won't be here the next time - but she always is. She is bouncy and happy and seemingly does not realize that she is on borrowed time. But about a year ago she gnawed a big raw spot on her leg. The vet said to give her antibiotic, keep her comfortable and give her whatever she wants because it might be time to "make a decision". Needless to say, no decision was made. Her leg healed up and we started giving her glucosamine chondroitin and she almost never limps or chews on that bad leg anymore. These are easy for her to take - she is picky but snaps these right up. That is important because getting her to take anything is a real pain (she's smart, she will suck the hotdog off and spit a pill across the room like a cowboy hitting a spittoon). I especially love these because they have turmeric and I am personally very familiar with how well that works on pain and inflammation.Who knows how much longer we have her - but we stopped "making her comfortable and giving her whatever she wants" because it became a real hassle and she does not seem to be going anywhere too soon.

Helped restore function and good as a pill pocket!
Our girl is an 11 year old pug. A year ago, she could barely go up and down the porch stairs. It felt like she was on her last winter. We started dosing the Nooties and it clearly helped her be more comfortable and move easier. In May, she was diagnosed as hypothyroid, That was a game changer! It was like having 5 years taken off! She does have to take a pill morning and evening, and that poses a challenge for a picky pug. How to get her to take her meds? The Nootie has a soft consistency, a little drier than cookie dough. I've found that we can cut these in half and use 1/2 of a dose morning and evening as a kind of pill pocket. I just cut them in half and squish the little thyroid pill inside by pinching. It literally works every time, and she barks for it if I am late. She loves it. This is a super affordable 2 in 1 med. If the pill your dog needs to take is smaller than the Nootie, you can squish it in. Win win.

Our family dog MOVES thanks to Nootie.
What can you say about supplements for animals? I'll say as much as I can...My brother's dog is 10+ years old and is definitely feeling her age in her joints. She was a very spry, active dog in her youth but had an injury that brought on some premature bone and joint issues. Then she had an neurological issue that caused some atrophy in her muscles and joints.Enter Nootie. We've used several Nootie products. Our dogs seem to like the taste and the humans seem to not mind the smell. It's hard to say much else about supplements HOWEVER I really do think that without the glucosamine chondroitin chews, my brother's dog would be in much worse shape. After her neurological event, the vet said to not expect much in terms of recovery. For my brother to expect to change piddle pads and turn his poor girl every few hours during the day to relieve pressure on her body. Now? Now, she is up and moving and even jogging at times as you would expect an older dog to move. Was it these supplements? Who knows? But I can't help but contribute some of her current state of health to Nootie.
