True Ball Mason Jars
I have been using Ball Mason jars that I purchased on Amazon for many years and have not bought any for some time. I now need additional jars of the same size and type. Searching Amazon I found many offers of Ball Mason jars but nearly all of them are cheap knockoffs that are poorly rated in reviews. The jars in this purchase are ere the true Ball Mason jars. They cost a little more but if you need true Ball Mason jars that stand up to freezers and microwave heat these are the ones to buy.

All is Well in the End
First I was going to deduct a star since it was shipped UPS Sure Post. It floated around USPS locations & took 10 days to deliver (which is not seller's fault). Then was going to deduct another star for 1 of the jars arriving broken. I contacted seller & they offered refund for broken jar. I agreed and had refund credited in 24 hrs. So, in the end they get 5 stars. They are excellent jars & seller has very good communications.

A big mouth jar that is. That's what you get when you buy these jars, but that's not all. You get great quality with Ball brand, plus you get timely shipping and careful packaging from this seller.

I use these everyday!
I have been trying to use less plastic due to toxins and these are a great substitution. Hundreds of uses including sourdough starter, dressings, and obviously canning just to name a few! Very durable and easy to clean. Wide mouth grip definitely a plus.

2 of 4 jars arrived broken, unable to return, I feel ripped off! DO NOT BUY!!!
2 of 4 jars arrived broken - one with a large crack all around, one with a giant hole in the bottom corner. I was out of the country and wasn't able to return within the return window so now I'm left with 2 very expensive mason jars. I feel ripped off! I should be able to return them or receive replacements ... DO NOT BUY THESE!

Multi-purpose
I always have to reorder these as I make homemade bone broth and am constantly giving these jars away. I do use them for storage as well as making other beverages. I, for some odd reason, just prefer to drink out of mason jars. On the odd occasion that I have a cocktail, I like to drink out of one of the 16 oz jars. I also store fermented veggies like olives and pickles [which I admit I do not make on my own :( ]HOWEVER--I do not like the lids. Never have. I purchase separate lids as the aluminum/tin lids rust. It's not a good thing to have rust in your bone broth. So I don't even bother with them....just toss them and I use the BPA free plastic twist tops with the silicone O-Ring.
