Great for remote control of garden equipment
Product is ideal for remote control of outside equipment plugged into this external double socket unit, via an app. I use it to control a pump for a garden fountain.It is easy to install, and the Smart Life app finds it easily. Setting up the WiFi connection is reasonably straightforward although the app didn't quite match the unit, but it got there anyhow.The unit only supports 2.4GHz WiFi, though I doubt this should be an issue; as far as I know all routers and wireless access points support 2.4, as well as (more modern ones) 5GHz.Once set up on one phone, the app has a facility to share the setup with others.Overall, very satisfied.

Very poor reseller not providing the further info required to pair
This is a reseller item fork. China in the uk , the item is terribly cheap and the company in the uk decided to put a company brand etched in front , why would any one want that ?the instructions for pairing are obviously flawed though easy to to find out ( which I won’t bother wasting my time here , good luck ), cheap crap

If more than one person wants to use the feature you need to use the same log in details or one kicks the other off the app. Easy to use and set up

Wi-fi wouldn't you use one of these external sockets
Installed a standard outdoor sockets and then I saw these were available . Swapped out to one of these Wi-Fi enabled sockets to control external festoon lighting and it works brilliantly. The socket is set up to work with Alexa which was easy to do and register the socket as "Garden lights" for easy voice control

IT works on a different frequency to standard BT hubs so you have to dual channel

Worked first time.
Easy to fit and for a non techy like me I found it reasonably easy to connect to Alexa, works every time.

Will not recognise or connect to wifi
This had some bad reviews so I should have known better but thought I'd give it a go. I now have a very expensive standard outdoor double socket!
