Math Made Easy: Fourth Grade Workbook (Math Made Easy)

Bought this to give my son something constructive to day for a few minutes each day during summer. I had the Sylvan books last year - very childish. This book has the pages full of problems not childish pictures. They are a replica of what he did in school. Pages of mulitplication, division, fractions. A gret review of 3rd grade in the begining and in he end it does start to introduce new concepts (to him), but they are laid out in way that he can figure it out with little assistance. Recommend 100X more then Sylvan books! Wish I would have gotten the English book of this brand too. Unfortunatley I went with the Sylvan book - thinking of eating the cost and ordering the English one from this company too.

I teach my two kids math at home for the previous few years, and I bought at least twenty different practicing books. Definitely this is one of the best. However, I use it for a year 3, as it would be too easy for year 4, specially if your objective is to grow further the skills of your child. The idea that all pages in the book are easily tearable, so you can hand them as separate worksheets, is perfect. No need for the child to carry the whole book, and once he finishes from the worksheet, I just throw it away. Also, the quality of the papers and the structure of the pages is well-thought.Highly recommended.

I homeschool and purchased this book for a child who wasn't quite ready to move on to the next grade in his math curriculum. This book doesn't really teach any of the material, but it is a good review book. The pages are bright and glossy. I was concerned pencil wouldn't write on the pages, but it does with no problem. The stars in the front are a nice extra. I like that it gives extra practice to multiplication math facts by number (fives, sixes, etc) and also fully covers 4 grade material. I do wish the answers weren't microscopically small with four pages reduced to fit on one in the back of the book. but that's a picky detail. If you are new to homeschooling please note that workbooks like this are not a substitute for actual math curriculum! For that I recommend Teaching textbooks, Math U See, or Thinkwell.

Sometimes we forget how to do certain problems or they are easily done in your head. You forget how to do them on paper to explain it to a fourth grader just coming from summer vacation , trying to get back into school. The old saying, "I can show you how it's done or teach you how the problem is done, but I can't understand it for you " is made easy for you and your 4th grader . Happy thoughts of math. windchimes

This is a great workbook I used for my son to improve his skills over the summer break. There are examples at the top of each page and just enough problems to help with practice. My only grouse is that i found at least 2 instances were the examples were wrong and some of the answers were also wrong. Its fine if someone is keeping an eye on the work being done so as to correct any issues.

I bought this for my soon to be 4th grader as a summer workbook. She is doing a couple of pages a day. It is not too challenging and not too easy. I feel like it is perfect and exactly what I was looking for (she is advanced in reading, spelling, english, so I wanted to focus on math). She thinks it is boring and wishes it was more fun, lol.

Each page has practice questions for concepts taugh in 3rd and 4th grade. Not necessarily in order of lessons taught in public schools. No explanations of math concepts given in this book. As we are using this for homeschooling we must find other resources to use for teaching and more practice as I feel this does not give quite enough. I believe it would be a great product to use for the summer to keep kids lessons they have learned in school.Not a bad product, just not great in my opinion.

Bom para praticar exercícios, mas em nível de quinta e sexta séries. Comprei por um bom preço e considero o papel excelente, diagramação linda e contém estrelinhas para incentivar o aluno a cumprir todos os exercícios.

Outstanding math education books. Countless problems for your kids to work on.I am a stats professor, and I highly recommend the series for kids.

Too easy for a 4th grader. Maybe it is what it is meant for, but definitely not for students who want challenges.
