Absolutely no complaints about this item or its construction/durability. But beware - I have two vehicles all wired with the same item, but a different brand, and needed to add ONE MORE connector. Got everything ready to go and discovered the external plug WILL NOT fit the previous connectors. OD on this is 7/8 inch. My previous installations are 3/4 inch, so I'm back to trying to find one that will fit. Unfortunately, I have yet to find one that shows the OD of the external piece, and I'm not tearing into my equipment to replace everything to accommodate this item. If you're getting both parts for a new installation, go for it. If trying to replace either piece of another brand, be sure to measure first. I thought they were all the same. Not so.

I bought this to install on my truck so I could tow my father-in-law's trailer with a round connector and I bought a Curt 57224 to adapt this to another trailer with a flat connector. This item, the Curt 58671, is not compatible with the Curt 57224 or my father-in-law's trailer's round trailer plug. The pins in the 58671 are larger than the sockets in the 57224. This kit, the 58671, appears to be well made and durable. I wish it were compatible. But durable doesn't help when the existing plug won't fit.

After I purchased this set, I came across a comparable one at a local "big box" store. Glad I bought the one shown here ! As another reviewer noted, some of the sets sold in stores are plastic junk, and I tend to agree.This present set is made of solid metal, unlikely to warp or crack over time. I lubricated the contact pins with dielectric grease to keep the plug from sliding smoothly. The lid locks the plug when it's in place, which is a good idea. Excellent value for the money, and the item looks good on my trailer hitch.

Acheté pour remplacer le connecteur d'une machinerie agricole. Contrôle de lance balle New Holland 72. Presse a foin 575. Simplement enlever les 2 bornes inutiliser dans mon cas. Même type de connecteur sur filages de lumières de remorque agricole aussi

If this had cost 5 times more than it is then there would be some small design complaints and the fit and finish isn't perfect, but for the price is an incredible product, highly recommend
