Will this work on an angled ceiling?

Pitch is IMPORTANT! The piece the remote communicates with goes in the very top of the fan. If you ceiling has more than a 17 degree pitch, the fan will NOT hang straight. Too bad, it's a beautiful fan, quiet, to colors of light and it's dimmable. Perfect if they sold a SLOPE ADAPTER. Sorry to say we had to return.

Has anyone solved this light issue: after turning off the light with the remote the light continues to glow if the fan is still on?

Do the blades need to be installed for the fan to work?

Absolutely, the electronics requires a minimum current before it will drive the fan blades, therefore fan blades need to bee installed before it will work properly! Ibran into the same issue. Fan works perfectly now.
