The Duke's Blackmailed Bride (The Boarding School Series) Paperback – October 16, 2015

This book was absolutely fantastic. I adore the characters and the story was intriguing and brilliantly written. I would definitely encourage everyone to read this series.

The second book in this series, Boarding School is about Harrison Aimsorth who is a duke and Sierra Warner. They met 3 years ago at her engagement party to a man that worked for her father. During the engagement party, they by chance met out back in the gardens and they kissed. For the first time, she felt something.She never married her fiance' because her father was arrested for embezzlement. Her father is found dead in his jail cell and her mother committed suicide. They lost their home and everything else, and she was left to raise her younger brother with no job and no one in town wants anything to do with her because of what her father did.Harrison bought Sierra's home, stables, horses and land and she also worked for the Harrison, The Duke, in the stables and with the horses. Sierra would not give him the time of day and always stayed hidden when he came around.Harrison only had 18 more months to find a wife and produce an heir; otherwise he lost the title and the things that went with it. He had never forgotten the kiss 3 years ago, but, he could not get Sierra to even speak to him. Suddenly he found a way to get Sierra to say yes to marry him because her little brother, Daniel 19, broke into his house and stole some artifacts. Sierra has no choice.Find out what happens after they are married and how Sierra hated that she was blackmailed into marrying Harrison. She also begins to question if her father really did embezzle. She shouldn’t be asking questions because now some really bad people didn't want this question answered.

Siera's life comes completely unraveled when her father is accused of embezzling funds and winds up being arrested. Within days, she's unable to be with either of her parents , lost her home and every dollar in her family's accounts.From a young woman from a wealthy family, sheltered and protected, to a pauper working to support herself and her brother. Living in a shabby home, working in the horse stables, she struggles daily to keep a roof over their heads.And through it all, Harrison is watching out for her. Yet she manages to be 'unavailable' whenever Harrison tries to get close to her. Until he comes up with the plan to force her into marriage...

Another great story in the boarding school series. Can not wait for the next one to be released. Elizabeth has such a wonderful way of drawing you in and cheering on the hero and heroine. I could not put the book down.

The story is not overly original. I love the author's style of writing, it draws you in and invites you to enjoy the story. Not meets girl who's attached to someone else, her world collapses, he saves her from afar, things happen. He swoops in saves her again, happily ever after. Still enjoyed it.

This is a wonderful feel good book. If you happen to be down in the dumps, read this for a quick pick me up. It's an easy read, predictable, but still well worth the money and time invested in it. I liked that the other Boarding School characters had more of a part in it than in Damon's book -- Book #1) I like that Harrison wanted to get to know her better for 3 whole years, but she kept hiding from him whenever he came around the stables. I'm sad there was no epilogue, but hope in one of the other books we find out about her pregnancy and child she ends up having.Ms.E - good job! There were some editing mistakes, but not bad over all.

They met at her engagement party. The next day her father was arrested for alleged fraud and embezzlement. Her mother committed suicide. Her father died in jail and her and her brother were left homeless. Now three years later he is there with a proposition for her. She married and gives him an heir and her brother won't go to jail. This is some wicked stuff happening to her. Will she ever get justice for her family? What about the Duke? Is he wanting her for more than her ability to procreate?

I couldn't put this story down until the happy ending but I wanted that epilogue where it's months later and she has the baby and her brother helped you know what I mean?Happy ending. LolThank you,Cathy Gentner
