For Two Channel Stereo
I needed a subwoofer for my Q Acoustics 3050 to fill in some of the bass holes. The 3050s sound really good but on some older recordings the bass can be weak. I did not want a large subwoofer because I'm not watching movies with it and I don't like over bloated non-intended bass. This OSD sounds pretty darn good. Exactly what I was looking for. With a forward facing active speaker and the down facing passive radiator it fills the room nicely. I picked up a 12x12 tile at the hardware store and placed it underneath the sub because I have carpet. Not that it doesn't work with carpet but it does tend to reflect better off of a piece of tile. It cost me 59 cents. 😀.I'm using a small D-class S.M.S.L. amp with a sub out. Easy to set up and tune the bass. Auto on/off works well. The high gloss black makes it look expensive. The feel and quality is exceptional. Easy to dial in.The opening of Diana Krall's All or Nothing At All from the album Love Scenes sounded good before but with this sub it comes alive.Ignore some of the bad Photoshop photos in the ad. This is very small. If you're looking for non-bloated bass then this may be what you're looking for. It's not a REL but in a bad economy it's perfect.Looking for a sale so I can get another one.UPDATE: There were no sales but I picked up another one anyway. Now the bass really sounds great and fills the room out better than before. Two good sounding powered subwoofers for 400 bucks is a pretty good deal.Highly recommended.

SONIDO ACEPTABLE
AL SACARLO DEL EMPAQUE OBSERVAS UN SUB BIEN CONSTRUIDO,ATRACTIVO Y MUY ESTETICO Y SU TAMAÑO ES IDEAL SI CUENTAS CON POCO ESPACIO.... LO COMPRE POR LAS OPINIONES QUE LO DESCRIBEN DE BUEN SONIDO Y MENOS RESONANTE QUE LOS SUBS PORTEADOS, SI LE AYUDA EL DISEÑO CON RADIADOR PASIVO, ESTA CONECTADO A UN AMPLIFICADOR HARMAN KARDON 5.1 Y AL ESCUCHAR MUSICA , PELICULAS Y SERIES ME PARECE MAS ADECUADO PARA PELICULAS...EN LA DESCRIPCION DICE QUE EL AMPLIFICADOR DIGITAL QUE LO ALIMENTA MANEJA 180 WATTS RMS A 4 OHMS EN MI OPINION ES EXAGERADA, HE TENIDO VARIOS SUBWOOFERS Y NO PARECE QUE TENGA MAS DE 80 WATTS DE POTENCIA Y EN RESPUESTA DE FRECUENCIA DICE MANEJAR DESDE LOS 25 HERTZ NO CREO QUE SE DESEMPEÑE EN FRECUENCIAS DEBAJO DE LOS 40 HERTZ...

Great buy.
Bought this to accompany my home stereo system and I have to say, I was really impressed with it's quality. Strong and easily adjustable. Smaller in real life compared to other subs though.

Good value and sound for a little footprint
Took a little while to dial it in. Using it with a Yamaha RX-V473 receiver and Polk In-Wall/Ceiling surround speakers in a 5.1 configuration in our living room which is around 20 x 12. Had to replace the 5yr old Klipsch we had as the power supply went bad. :-\Tip: Initially the "Auto-On" feature wasn't working. Found that the receiver's Sub output was set too low. Once I brought that up the subwoofer kicked on fine. From there it was a matter of adjusting the overall volume on the Subwoofer itself to suit the room. For the room size, it works well. Not huge bass, but it fills in nicely. Overall, we're satisfied with the purchase.

I really wanted to like this subwoofer
I really wanted to like this subwoofer. The looks and price were outstanding. Unfortunately after receiving I quickly hooked it up to my main system, hoping to add additional bass to my large room that already has a dual 12" Mirage subwoofer. After making some adjustments I fired up Pacific Rim 3D. I initially couldn't hear anything. I made a few more adjustments and turned the volume all the way up. Still basically nothing. I checked the connection, then swapped it out in place of my Mirage subwoofer. I could see the driver moving at max volume but couldn't hear or feel anything. I took it to my second system which is a 5.1 sub sat system. Replacing it with my Definitive Technology Pro sub 8 and still same results. It is possible it got damaged it transit but I can't say for sure. I really have nothing to compare it to but the three subwoofers I currently own. The Definitive single 8" pro sub rocks so hard compared to this one. I only wish it sounded as good as it looked. I sent it back, still unsure if it was damaged or if it just wasn't meant to perform at the level I was used to with other subs of similar size. I had it hooked up to a Pioneer 1323k 7.2 receiver as well as a Marantz SR7000.Update:I'm really glad other reviewers are noticing the same issues I had with this sub. I knew there was something wrong with it. Maybe OSD will spend more time on quality control and send out units that perform as they should.
