Very Nice quality Wood, Goes together very easily. Thickness is only issue, will wait to see if warp over time.Using to put over fire escape grating in brownstone to improve appearance.

After looking through reviews, we figured that one order would be enough. They look great, however you definitely need more than one order. Wish they were a bit more affordable as well because of how little area one order covers. otherwise great product and would recommend

We purchased the Thirteen Chefs Villa Acacia Wood Interlock tiles as a quick and easy way to dress up the balcony of our townhouse. The tiles were a snap to put down and took my wife around 30-45 minutes to lay down tiles for our 6x9 balcony. I only had to cut a handful of tiles to fit into 2 corners. The tiles interlock with each other easily and sturdy once connected. With the exception of cutting the tiles,these tiles can be installed by most people and yet yield excellent results. The pattern we chose was the 6 slat design. The wood is a light color with dark knot holes and grain marks with a protectant finish that sheds water. (See pictures). Manufacturer recommends applying some form water sealant, which we will apply before winter. We are very pleased with the resultsThe downside to these tiles is that I found the tiles difficult to cut and trim. The design is a 6 slays of individual pieces of wood screwed into a plastic grid frame which I found hard to cut. When cutting the slats separated from the backing plastic grid and it is difficult to cut both the wood and plastic. See second picture to get a sense of what I am talking about. I should also like to mention I was probably using the wrong saw for the job. I used an 18 volt Ryobi multi tool with a cutting head which has trouble cutting tru the wood and plastic.

I absolutely LOVE this! Dare I say favorite, most useful/ surprising Amazon purchase for my apartment so far. We have an ugly and bumpy textured balcony that is impossible to sit or tan on without a chair. I came up with the idea to wash the balcony, then buy these tiles so it would be easy cleanups if anything spills or falls, easy to tan on, and definitely elevates the area. I ran out of the 12 tiles fast so I’m using a gift card to buy more.So easy to snap together or move wherever you need the tiles to go x

Their quality control is frustratingly inconsistent! I was pleased with the first set so I bought another to complete my installation, but the second set arrived dirty as if they have been used with ants and a small roach inside the box because the box was damaged (the packaging by the seller was damaged; the outer packaging by Amazon was fine). The replacement set, which I received today, is even worse! The slabs are uneven so they gape and wobble, and the surface is already coming off. For some reason the replacement process takes longer than placing a new order (taking 4-5 days vs. 2-3 days) so obviously my patience has worn off. I don't know whether I would finally receive a decent set in the next replacement.

Initially, I purchased a larger size tile that didn’t fit on the shower floor and left too much space leftover. I returned it and found the same company also made this version— 12 x 12 tiles that could be repositioned for a better fit. I felt like I was working with friends because I liked the first product and what I read about the company. The tiles fit the odd shape shower floor since we were able to trim to size. They look sharp! Much nicer than the ordinary floor. Now it’s on to the rest of the bathroom remodel. It arrived on time and in perfect condition; color is exactly as in photo. Tiles are in daily contact with water since it’s in the shower. Time will tell how it holds up. For now, it looks good and we are very pleased with it.

I bought about 15 boxes of this product this past fall. Attached is a picture of what it looks like after just one winter in NY. It was pretty when I pulled it out of the box, but after just one rain fall, many of the pieces had lost their luster. This is supposed to be a product designed to be outside, and as you can see,after a single winter all of the wood has lost its luster and has faded and many of the pieces are buckling and bulging. I spent a lot of money on this product and I would absolutely not do it again. I knew I'd have to apply outdoor oil to the wood every so often, but this is just unacceptable. Next time I'd buy synthetic plastic.5/16/18: update: after writing this review I was contacted by the CEO of Thirteen Chefs, the company who sells these tiles on amazon. He was sincerely disturbed by my bad experience and offered to make things right. He said that the company is working on finding a good oil to use with the deck tiles to keep the wood in better shape. Eventually we agreed upon a resolution that worked for us both. I still can’t recommend the product, unless they find a way to protect it better from the elements that it’s supposed to be exposed to, but I do have to say Kudos to Thirteen Chefs for reaching out to me, unexpectedly, to make things right. I condone companies with good customer service, so 5 stars to them.

I’ve had these in my half-assed meditation garden for over a year and they’ve held up pretty well. Good for a yoga platform, base for garden decor or outdoor shower. Pretty weather resistant but you might add a coat of sealer to extend the life even more. I did after several months when I started seeing some wear. I bought two sets for a decent size yoga platform and am considering adding one more.
