Great paddle holders for kayak, secure, but not overly tight
I bought one of these years ago for nearly $20 from a sporting-goods store. It worked great, but the hardware was junk and rusted after one season, so I had to buy new hardware anyway. This twin-pack allowed me to buy two packs for less, so now I can put paddle holders on ALL of my kayaks! These are fantastic for allowing you to safely stow your paddle while fishing, drifting, or relaxing on the water.A tip on mounting... these should be mounted on the deck, just forward of your normal paddle reach, or on the side of the kayak. Do not mount them anywhere your normal paddling movement will hit them, or where you would rest your arms. I had one kayak that had a paddle holder factory-mounted that was to the right of the skirt, and I constantly banged it with the paddle, or hit my forearm on it... OUCH! Also, do not mount the paddle here during vehicle transport... you'll not have a paddle when you get to the lake!Sure, these do not come with hardware, but it is easy to run down to your hardware store and pick up Stainless Steel bolts, washers, nuts, and Neoprene flat-seals for a few bucks. If you're not sure what hardware to get, take these to the hardware store with you... purchase counter-sunk, flat-head bolts (Allen-head or Philips-head) that just barely fit through the mounting holes. The bolts should be just long enough to go through the holder, thickness of the boat, two neoprene flat-washers (one on each side of the boat body to help keep water out of the boat), SS washer (goes between interior neoprene and nut... lock-washer is optional, but not necessary), and the nut. Once all this is assembled, the bolt should be long enough to just go past the end of the nut. I also strongly suggest using BLUE lock-tite to prevent the assembly from loosening up during transport, storage, and use. These will see a lot of abuse and the nuts will loosen over time if you don't use some type of thread-locker... Don't use RED lock-tite... you'll never be able to remove them!

Works well
The paddle holders work well for their intended purpose, but definitely mount them where you aren't going to run your hand into them when you're paddling. I put mine in a bad spot and cut my hand on it 3 times during an 8 mile float. I have since drilled out the rivets and moved it forward. Oh and no, they don't come with hardware so be prepared for that. I used rivets which worked just fine.

Good for the money, but be gentle
Got the two pack cause why not pay $3.50 for one ($7 for the two pack) the first one installed broke (my fault. Always pull the paddle out from clip, don't pull strait up) plus it was 30° and some plastic doesn't like cold, so I learned a lesson. Second one is running good.

Using on tracks/rails
I installed one directly on a track on my Kaku Zulu and my paddle snaps in. This way of holding the paddle has a very low profile compared to other solutions I've seen e.g. raised track mounts or mounted behind the seat. Trick is finding a nut and screw that will have the right length to hold this steady on the track and screw can sit inside the recess. Paddle holders didn't come with hardware.

Solid clip, no hardware
Clips are sturdy and seem to hold up well. Primary gripe was the act of hardware. Was a challenge finding screws that didn’t scratch/gouge my paddle and accompanying rubber washers to secure and make waterproof. Attached and reattached clip 3 times before making it work. All in all solid purchase, would pay a few dollars extra for accompanying hardware.

They work.
They work as designed. Durable enough to hold the paddle in place during normal operations but I wrap a quick strap around them just as an extra security measure. Well worth the money.

PSA - NO MOUNTING HARDWARE!
I got these to replace an exact same paddle mount that was damaged on my kayak. So the set not having any screws included was not an issue. I simply reused what I had. They are very thick, clamp well, but are not indestructible. Cannot complain for the price I paid.
