MOTHERS 06712 California Gold Water Spot Remover for Glass - 12 oz.

Worked great combined with Griot's Garage glass pads and a d/a polisher. I did take two or three applications to clean of the water spots but I expected that. Just like doing paint correction it takes several passes to get the results. With the first pass the glass was super slick and the water spots were diminished. The second and third passes really cleaned the glass great! One vehicle I worked on was a 1989 Suburban that had many years of automated car washes and weather exposure. The glass was spotted pretty badly. I spent a good four hours cleaning all the windows and they look like new now! I worked each window in sections with light pressure on the d/a set to speed 2. It wasn't hard work just took a while due to the size of the vehicle!I would bet doing this by hand would be quite difficult and challenging!I also did the windows on a 1990 Chevy pickup. This glass wasn't too bad, some water spots, glass looked clean/clear. The after was impressive, super clean glass that was very slick!This stuff really cleans the grime off the glass that regular washing and glass cleaner won't touch!After polishing the glass I cleaned the windows again with a good glass cleaner and then applied RainX to seal the glass. The towel just slid across the windows with no effort and the RainX wiped right on and off!

First of all, if you want this product to really work 100% then you need the right tool ‘’Buffing Machine’’. If you’re going to use it on a towel with your hands then none of many water spots removal will work, because of a long acid rain spots have been sitting there for months or years.My wife’s car had a lot of acid rain spots on her windshield almost have zero visibility when driving in raining condition. After applying this product on a buffing machine on speed 5 for 3 minutes I could see the windshield start to shine and 100% smooth when I rubbed it.I also applied this product on my roof rack which is a metal chrome, surprisingly it worked as well.BELIEVE ME THIS PRODUCT REALLY WORKS IF YOU HAVE BUFFING MACHINE.Tips: Work on a small portion at a time for at least 3-4 minutes buffing. Hand buffing will not work!!!

I bought a used Honda Civic a few years back that had numerous, but largely transparent, water spots on the windshield. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but these were TOUGH water spots, and no amount of cleaning ever got them off. Two rainy winters had no effect either. In retrospect, I think the car was washed with very hard water, then Xzilon sealant was applied over the water spots. The water spots were a safety hazard, as they created a terrible glare near sunset or at night with various streetlights and oncoming headlights, reducing the driver's visibility.Mothers Water Spot remover worked near perfectly to solve this problem! I did have to repeat application about four times on the windshield to remove the water spots, using about 1/2 the bottle in the process. I treated the rear window twice. It took a little over an hour to polish both windows by hand, being very careful to work hard and apply firm pressure to the treated glass. While it did not remove the water spots completely, they are significantly reduced and the nighttime glare is no longer a major problem.In short, this product does more than improve appearance, but it improves safety!

Tried several products that claimed to be able to remove hardwater and soap spots from clear glass shower doors, however all had failed.Purchased Mothers 06712 California Gold Water Spot Remover in another attempt. Not only did this product completely remove the spots but it did so with very little effort and had no lingering smells. Also used it on the Stainless-Steel faucets and it made them look like new.The product goes on easily and wipes off just as quickly. I highly recommend this product!

I had high hopes for this since other products in the Mother's line have performed very well for me. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.On the plus side, the product is easy to use. It's a cream-like consistency (sort of the same consistency as hand lotion) and there is no objectionable odor. The instructions state to use the product with a microfiber cloth, rub well, add more if needed, then polish off with a clean cloth.I worked on a roughly 6-inch square section of glass for 20 minutes with this. Went through about one-quarter of the bottle. Rubbed until my arm was hurting. The end result: no change. The water spots are still there and only -- and perhaps this is my imagination -- just slightly less visible. And I mean just slightly. At this rate I'd need to spend a couple of hours and a couple of bottles to clean the glass!You can feel that there is some small grit in the cream, but it is either too soft to do any good, or there's too little of it. It feels much like SoftScrub (which I also tried with no success).Their product photo shows a horribly-stained windshield that becomes crystal clear after using the product. Don't expect that to happen. Not even close.On the plus side, it did not scratch at all, and it left the glass quite clean. However, I can get the glass clean using something such as Invisible Glass for a whole lot less than what this costs.Hate to give this a bad review since I really like some of their other products, but this is not worth spending good money on. I'll see if I can use the rest elsewhere in the house, such as cleaning the sink. Really sorry that I wasted my money on this.UPDATE 5/8/2012: The manufacturer responded (see their note below) and provided me with a refund for the puchase price. Kudos to Mother's for standing behind their products! While I still can't give a recommendation for this specific product, I have used, and will continue to use, many of their wax and cleaning products since they work very well.

The Product works great on new cars, but if you are like every one else and and are going to use this on an older vehicle that has had water spots for years then you might as well order the mothers power ball for lights too(it will help you by not having to use as much elbow greece).

It works very well, much better than a normal glass cleaner.

Funciona a la perfección, tenia unas manchas de agua que no se quitaban con nada, alcohol, disolvente, polish... por eso me decidí a probar el producto de Mothers.Eso si, preparar los brazos por que hay que frotar, no es un producto milagro o por lo menos en mi caso es verdad que mis cercos de gotas eran muy marcados, hay que insistir con el.
