Brilliant Series
We’ve always loved Frasier and have had the non-blu-ray boxed set for a number of years. So when we discovered the blu-ray box set was available, we decided to treat ourselves for Christmas. The picture quality is superb and the sound is so much louder and clearer. Very happy and enjoying going through them all again. It’s a great keepsake.

This is Dr. Frasier Crane - "I'm listening"
Frasier The Complete Blu-ray Collection - Region Free on all Seasons. The set comes in a thin outer box with 11 individual Season boxes. The individual cases are very refreshing and much nicer to look at with each Seasons covers and look nicer than what we would probably get in the UK. For me it is much more preferred when compared to the horrible bulky cases where the discs are stacked on top of each other and get scratched and come lose (Like most UK DVD boxsets nowadays). The sound and picture quality of the episodes are outstanding. I'm already half way through Season 1 and I have no complaints. The episodes do have black bars down the sides and natural grain present but this does not distract from enjoying the series. The episodes are the sharpest and clearest I have seen them in and probably the best the show will ever look and sound.Only released in America I took a chance at purchasing this boxset from Amazon US knowing that nearly most of the time the product always comes with some kind of damage or shipped in poor packaging. To my surprise it was packed in a a suitable box with good packing and arrived very quickly. The only damage I can see is a slight Tear along the side of the outer box. Perfection on products no longer exists nowadays I'm afraid to say. This is an outstanding Blu-ray boxset and maybe one day it might reach the UK. For now I very happy with this purchase. Maybe the Complete Cheers Blu-ray Collection could be the next purchase from the US."For eleven years you have heard me say, "I'm listening." Well, you were listening too. And for that I am eternally grateful. Goodnight, Seattle."

Superb!
The bluray version is a real improvement over the DVDs. Much better picture and sound. You tend to notice things in Frasier's room that you never noticed before, even the view out of the window looks better. Only con is the cases, which are flimsy - in fact 2 of them broke when i checked each disc, however they are cheap and easy to replace - better than sending the whole lot back.

One of the best US comedies even better in BluRay
I've owned the DVD versions of Frasier and jumped at the chance of upgrading these episodes to HD. The quality is excellent, bright and colour rich and the sound is a big improvement as well. Some of the episodes are a little more grainy then others but honestly well worth it.

'Frasier.' In A Box!
Now that I've had it delivered I can't wait to watch all 250+ episodes of this classic, timeless series on blu ray. It's great to have all 11 Seasons of 'Frasier.' on blu ray in one huge box set, but the news about this release isn't all positive.Whilst each Season sensibly comes in its own amaray blu ray case on three discs, I'm going to transfer the contents of each of these skinny cases into the thicker and sturdier regular size blu ray cases. I always keep a good supply of brand new regular size blu ray cases for just such purposes - and I'd advise you to do the same! Thus correcting this release's first unforgivable cost-cutting measure - skinny blu ray cases such as the ones that each 'Frasier.' Season comes in are just too thin and flimsy for my taste. That'll mean that all 11 Seasons probably won't fit back into the 5-sided cardboard display box that they come in. However that's not going to be a problem because I don't intend to put them back into the cardboard display box anyway - the display box being this release's second unforgivable cost-cutting measure...The display box is made of terribly flimsy and far too thin and creasable cardboard, and I'm going to get rid of it because it's no doubt going to look battered in no time. In fact it arrived with little tell-tale signs of wear already on one of its edges. And if you take just one amaray case out of the display box you immediately begin to sense how quickly it'll get wobbly, and even start opening at the rear.A classic, timeless, multi award-winning show like 'Frasier.' deserves far better, much thicker, luxury cardboard packaging than this embarrassingly feeble cost-cutting effort. When I opened the padded envelope and took out this box set I actually found myself feeling a bit angry that such a classic show as 'Frasier.' could be treated so disrespectfully as to be given such cheap packaging.I guess that's a reflection of how much the show means to me from a nostalgia point of view given the fact that it originally started airing when I was half the age that I am now! What's wrong with you, CBS? Have you no respect for classic TV Shows?CBS should take note of the quality of the packaging of such 4K blu ray releases as 'The Proposition.', 'Robocop.' (the 1987 original) and 'Get Carter.' (the 1971 original) if it wants to know how to package classic movies and TV Shows on blu ray in the way they deserve. All that said one might then be concerned that the cheap packaging is a bad omen for the video and audio quality on the discs. But luckily that's probably about as far from the case as it's possible to get.So far I've only watched disc 1 of Season 1 but as soon as I popped the disc in the tray of my Sony 4K blu ray player, I was absolutely astonished by the video quality.BEFORE I CONTINUE I HAVE TO POINT OUT THAT 4K BLU RAY PLAYERS DO UPSCALE AND IMPROVE IMAGES IN A WAY THAT 1080P BLU RAY PLAYERS DON'THowever I have no doubt that the discs will still look great played on a 1080p blu ray player! What is immediately apparent is that this show was (mostly) shot on celluloid film and, displayed at its best quality on blu ray disc, what you get is pin-sharp images that are overlaid with a glorious layer of natural film grain. Something which I'd never seen before even when I'd watched the show on my 4K TV on a HD channel! That natural layer of film grain (which admittedly is quite thick) will no doubt be terribly off-putting to grain-haters but what you get from the images is numerous moments when you'll spot things on screen that you've never noticed before - because they simply weren't displayed sharp enough to notice before! This truly is 'Frasier.' as you've never seen it before and as long as you appreciate film grain, I assure you you're going to love it. The colours are great too - not over-exaggerated, just very natural. And the dialogue is also crisp and clear.I should point out that during one early episode there are a couple of shots of Daphne (Jane Leeves) in quick succession that are much less sharp than the rest of the scene. But that's definitely not a fault of the transfer or your blu ray player. It's just because for some reason those shots are either from a celluloid source that's a few generations removed from the original camera negative, or they're from a lower resolution source such as analogue video tape.So the occasional appearance of shots like that are really nothing to worry about. It's just that sometimes the original (and best) video materials can't be found and so a lesser source has to be inserted into the edit.So anyway; apart from the flimsy packaging I can't recommend this 11 Season blu ray box set of 'Frasier.' highly enough!
