Better than Expected
We used these to light a dark, outdoor stairway. They were perfect and had plenty of length as well as brightness. Installation was, of course, simple using the clips provided. They could have provided more but not really a problem. Highly recommended.

Used for path lighting - work well
Running on a dusk to dawn timer, these things are very nice. Depending on how long they last, I would recommend them and buy them again.

It's very bright
In this red and white rope, the red is a soft red, and the the white is predominant and very bright. This will show up well at night. I bought it primarily to use on the 4th of July.

NOT True Red LED Diodes!
If you are like me and are looking for TRUE RED LED diodes then these are NOT the rope lights you seek. As you can see from the photos, the plastic rope light tubing is translucent red and NOT the LEDs (which are likely white or even off white). This was an extreme disappointment because I appreciate the true tones/hues of LED colors.I purchased TWO of these 25' LED rope lights at $25 each ($50) to add to my porch Holiday decorations. The rope lights are 3/8" in diameter and have a white power cord (which is a plus). But, during the daytime, it is a visibly RED plastic rope tubing. I much prefer a clear tubing with red LED diodes that emit the red glow when ON.I wish the seller would have added a picture of these rope lights when off.... I never imagined the plastic would be red. I've been only familiar with real colored diodes.This is also crucial for those that purchase YELLOW LED lights. True Yellow LED diodes do not attract insects as much.... regular white LEDs with a translucent yellow cover DO ATTRACT BUGS much more. So, if you have an outdoor project or gazebo that you wanted to line with Yellow LEDs then make sure you get True Yellow emitting LEDs.Also, keep in mind that colored plastic rope lights will fade in time while CLEAR rope lights with true RED (or other colors) have NO translucent coloring to fade.I returned these and purchased a "100ft Red LED Rope Light" on Amazon for LESS ($43)... 100 FEET versus just two 25 footers. It is a true red LED with a clear rope cover. It also comes with an extra power cord and accessories where I can easily cut it to make TWO 50 foot rope lights for only $43.Even if you don't care about getting true LED hued diodes then just shop around. You can get more rope light for your money by buying the real McCoy!
