Successfully made pies but could be better
It could be better by having one side set for cutting the bottom and not just two top (cookie)cutters. I like that the out side doubles to cut the top of the pie crust, as mentioned I wish one side would cut the bottom. They break apart easily which is why I gave the rating i did. They’re also a bit difficult to clean. But with a bit of practice and adjusting my recipe I was able to get hand pies successfully made using these. Practice make perfect

They're good to start out
So overall, very cute idea. However my issue starts with one of the pumpkin mold I got was broken. That's already a bummer but I'm sure it was done probably during transport, and it was in a bag package vs a box. The other issue I have it the actual cutter part, half the time the vent/design never actually makes the vent/design unless it's a fairly thick. And at that point (for me) it's too thick of a dough and won't really get as much filling. Other issue is that they have a vent cutout on both sides which mean I have to take the time on one part of the dough to close it up so it doesn't spill out through the bottom.Since I did pay for these myself and I don't like wasting, I still use these but only for the closing of the pie. Everything else the cut outs and making vent/design I do myself. With that note, for me they're only good to seal off my hand pies. Which wasn't the point of buying these.

Work well
They work great. One came broken so I am taking a star off.

Has Holes Where Holes Should Not Be
Both sides have hole cut outs as if they’re made with 2 tops, so the filling just spills out. Incorrectly constructed.

Would be awesome if there were directions
I'm not familiar with using a dough presser like these. It took me longer than I would like to admit to figure out how to use them. I did made one mistake, I cut out the apples with only one side of the press, make sure you doing each side and put those two sides together. The only two it doesn't matter which side you use to cut is the pumpkin and the strawberry (just realized I didn't get a picture of that one). I almost had a hard time getting the edges to match up on the ones I did manage to accidentally cut both sides. This made is hard to press the edges to close them. I actually think it was because the outside cut doesn't really account for the filling well on the pressing part. I ended up having to use a fork to press them close. It definitely a neat idea and I'm glad I got them. Maybe I just need to have more practice at using them. Some kind of direction would have been great and I suggest that directions are added to the set.I would recommend these to other people.

Fun way to make hand pies
Fun molds to make hand pies for the holidays, it’s super easy to use. Doesn’t come with instructions or anything but it’s pretty self explanatory. You can figure it out base on trial and error pretty much by the second pie. Much better than using a cookie cutter and then crimping with a fork.I use the ‘back’ of the mold to punch out two pieces of the pie dough in the perfect mold size. Then I lay down the dough on each half of the clamshell, and spoon the filling onto the half that isn’t swooped in. The reason being you want the pie to have that ‘belly’ on top. The first pie I did, I spooned the filling onto the half that dipped in, only to realize that oh - once you crimp it shut, then the hand pie is backwards. One thing depending on the pattern - is that I do need to use a paring knife to cut out the little windows on the pie. Like on the apple one, you have to cut out the seeds on the dough that serves as the top piece.Once you push it together, it does a wonderful job if sealing in the filling. Brush some egg wash on it and into the oven. It was fun to use these molds and they all come out to be a decent size for each hand pie - approx 4 inches or so. Good portion.

Extremely Large and Difficult To Use
I am very disappointed with this 6PCS Hand Pie Press Set. The listing inaccurately describes these as “mini molds.” Each mold is gigantic. I was wanting a genuinely mini mold to make small meat pies. Unfortunately, these are huge and awkwardly sized. The intricate design details - such as the jack-o-lantern face- are not on the inside of the press. This makes the process of getting the design on the pies extremely difficult. The filling cavity is disproportional to the overall pie size. The plastic is thick; however the hinges are not very durable. Storage is also cumbersome. I do not recommend these 6PCS Hand Pie Presses.
