19 Teeth Steering Sector Pinion Gear Rebuild Kit Replacement for John Deere 102 105 107S 115 125 135 145 155C 190C 92H Series Lawn Tractors

Got this to replace the old worn out steering components on my 155c does work very tight when steering but seems to be holding up well it’s not made with the best quality but it’s cheap enough to last this season I’ll be happyUpdate (4/29/24) still holding up pretty well steering is still very tight and kinda pain to turn it at times but hasn’t failed still best bang for your buck because John Deere parts cost arm and leg. Hoping this will outlast this free riding mower and I’ll have made my investment worthwhile. I also believe this should come with the center bolt because they tend to break off when the nut is sized.6/5/24 Still going strong absolutely no play in the steering teeth are still holding up paint is to for the money this is good deal beats the heck out of John Deere pricing8/3/24 Have used this thing going on 5 months and not a single issue so far! The teeth are holding up nicely and the gear is showing little wear and tear but nothing that affects anything the paint is still holding up.

I watched some videos about changing out the stripped out steering gears on the John Deere lawn tractor/mowers and ordered this set of parts. As stated, it arrived well packaged with the new plastic bushings, the new steering gears, and a new main bolt and nut. It is not a quick fix, but it is an easy fix. If your steering is slipping, this is the way to repair it and it will steer perfectly until these wear out.

Parts were to size metal was good quality!

This is better quality than the last one I bought. None of them are easy to install.

I’ve been through a couple rounds of these parts from the dealer over the years. Easy to install, normally fails around 2-3 years. Figured I’d give this version a go for 30 bucks less and it lasted three mows. The swivel gear teeth are rounded so it will slip fairly quickly once there’s even the slightest amount of wear on the pinion gear. On top of that, the pinion gear itself is of poor quality and will not be able to take the forces the are put on it while turning. You’ll notice wear after your first mowing venture.I promise you all will thank me later by just spending the extra few bucks at the dealer and getting another 2-3 years out of your steering.

Looks and works like OEM

This fits my early 2000's John Deere 190c. Some of the swap is a pain for anyone with decently large hands, but that has nothing to do with this kit, and everything to do with the poor design of these lawn tractors and their steering mechanisms.
