Cheap, rugged, bright. I've gotten several of these for work and play. Its zoom feature is useful for seeing small objects far away, and for lighting a large area close. There are several that look identical that are not as bright, (see my other review of a similar flashlight) so be careful what brand you get. The three-pack is a great deal. They take a while to get, but worth it. they are small, diameter of a quarter at the lens, and 3 3/4" long. A coworker dropped one from a 75' height onto a wood deck, and only a slight marring of the bezel.

This is a nice little pocket flashlight.It feels heavy and strong enough to be considered tactical.This little flashlight has a lot going for it. It turns on and off with one mode, so you just get light from it instead of a roulette of modes that you're not expecting.The light is bright and strong and there's a lens so that the light is evenly spread across it's area, making it easy to see what you point it at. I've tried this inside in good lighting, and it still shows up and makes the indoor lighting look pale by comparison. It may not be the brightest flashlight ever made, but it's VERY bright! More than adequate for most situations.The flashlight I got (which is the one shown in the photo) does NOT, however, have any ability to focus that light. The front does not slide from front to back as some other flashlights do, and although you can remove the front section with the actual light and reflector and lens in it, rotating that section will only remove it, not provide any ability to focus. The fact that the seller misrepresented the focus function is what lost it a star in my raiting, coupled with the awkward shape and texture in the hand. I do like the blue color, which makes it easier to find in a low-light situation, though. The other colors on the Amazon site seem like they would also be easy to spot, so I like them better than black, although black is so cool!I'd rather have a wrist loop than the clip. The clip is roungh on my hands, and I'd prefer to remove it. If you happen to have a wrist loop around, there are small holes in the tail piece that can be used to attach it.The switch on the back is easy to operate. It has a raised circle around it to keep it from being pushed while in a pocket or something, but that raised area means that it's almost impossible for me to operate while holding the light in a way that I could use it. I have to turn it over and use a finger tip pointing straight toward the light to get my finger into the space and turn it on.It has plenty of texture to hang onto, but that texture is rough on my hands.I think I'm going to like it as a flashlight to stash someplace so I have some extra light handy. I use flashlights like this when I'm out at night walking, partly to see where I'm going, and partly to ensure that motorists are aware I'm there. Do NOT, under any circumstances, point this at a driver, because even at a distance, it is BRIGHT and will blind them! Point it at the road between you and them, and they'll see it.

By far the brightest Cree flashlight I've purchased so far. I bought flashlights like this from 5 or 6 different well rated suppliers and this one is by far the brightest flashlight of all - and I used real fully charged UltraFire batteries for the side by side test of six flashlights. So I will buy from this supplier from now on - not that I need any more of these flashlights. I'm planning to sell off my other flashlights and replace them only from this supplier.TrustEHarborI read all the supplier ratings and concluded that this supplier has the best reputation. You can check for yourself but I think you'll agree. placed my order on a Saturday and my order was delivered exactly one week later. So that was a quick delivery, too.

made in china, light and bright, adjustable lens. Worked for 2 days than died. Junk.

I've had several of these over the past few years, mostly from that large auction site, and they are very impressive for their size. Some of them can be adjusted to throw a nice squareish beam a couple hundred feet, and they are really bright for a AA light. Due to the sliding focus design these are not going to be waterproof, but for the price they are worth having a couple around. They also work well strapped to a helmet for riding offroad, I like a light with lots of throw on the helmet and these work well for that - but only in addition to a high powered bar light (I would not rely on these for anything critical or without a backup light). Of the 5 or so lights of this type I have owned, only one has failed so far, and that was the one I most recently purchased - I found that the driver board had come loose inside the barrel of the light and was probably shorting out inside the light. The seller is sending me another which I am sure will be fine just like the others I have had which are still working.Update -Never received the replacement light for the defective one, so bumped a star off. For the most part these are nice lights.

I can't believe the bang for buck ratio on this purchase. I use this light mainly for work when I'm in the warehouse I'm an inventory control auditor and I needed something lightweight that I could clip onto my harness and be out of the way when I didn't need it. This light does just that and more, every guy at the office wants one just for their EDC. I just use the high mode most of the time occasionally I use the strobe to get someone's attention on the other side of the warehouse. The zoom is always being adjusted depending on what I need to see. The only bad thing I can think of is the on and off could have been better its recessed and can be a odd to turn on if your finger isn't just right on top of the switch "fat fingers". So besides the button and the black paint starting to fade in some areas it's a fantastic buy wouldn't mind getting my hands on a unpainted one

These lights are rugged, very well made and deliver a bright light for about 10-15 feet ahead of you. 300lm is just the bare minimum for use around the house or backyard to find something, maybe on a trail at night, too. The zoom does its job as well and will focus the spot-light in a smaller, concentrated area. Had one before but the battery leaked and corroded the interior which eliminated any further use. Tried cleaning it but on some of these new led lights that will end its useful life -- so be careful and check them periodically.

Nice, bright little pocket torch. You're not going to illuminate a nearby mountain like some of the more expensive onces with 1,000lumens, but it's more than sufficient for lighting your way on darkened streets, and the small size means it really can live in your coat pocket all the time without you noticing until you need it.Less brightness also means that a single AA battery lasts for hours - I use mine to walk the dog in winter, and I find myself changing the battery every few weeks at most.One thing to note is that this is a single mode torch - many others have a couple of brightness settings and a SOS flash mode, which is toggled by slightly depressing the power switch. This one just has on or off. I prefer this as it's just a general torch, and I find that the multi-mode ones do not remember what mode you were in last (so turning the torch on or off also cycles the mode one, meaning you'll find yourself turning on a flashing torch every now and then).At this price, you should buy 4. I did.
