Bialetti Sapphire induction compatible nonstick hard anodized fry pan, 8 inch, Dark Blue

held off on the review until I had used it enough times (~6 weeks) w/ various foods. We have an induction stove top (ie, glass flat top, electric). It heats up a little slower than my non-stick pans but it does heat evenly - all the way to the edges. VERY easy to clean, definitely lives up to the 'nonstick' claim. My only concern is that the bottom of it, which is a pock-marked metal (I don't know how else to describe) has scratched the burner. Just have to be careful when putting on the stove top, and make sure you don't swing the handle around or move it too much when it's on the burner. If you have a gas or coil stove top, this may not matter.just be careful, the small handle and the part of the long handle thats attached to the pan get REALLY hot. made the mistake of trying to 2-hand pour something and nearly burnt my hand. Low heat shouldn't affect it, but I cook on medium-high, most often.I would buy more of these pans/pots w/ this material if they weren't so expensive!! Bonus points for the color :) I only needed to replace my other 4qt saucepan because the non-stick coating was scraping up after a few years of heavy use. Hopefully this one doesn't do that. This is my most-used pan.

I love these set of pots because they evenly cook your food and you do not have to turn fire up high. They are very easy to clean. These are quality pots . I baked in them my cornbread and when I took the frying pan out I loved that my cornbread just slid right out of the pan and my husband said that was the best cornbread I ever made. A very fine product...an attractive, well-made Dutch oven of hard anodized aluminum with a solid feel. We use it on a gas cooktop, and the heat is evenly dispersed; comparatively fast to heat and quick to cool. I like the glass lid with its steam release hole. As I need to replace other cooking vessels, I will definitely check out the Bialetti sapphire collection.

Had to get rid of my previous Bialetti pan that didn't work with my new induction stove top, this one works but the non stick is not as good so -1 star for that.

Very nice, well made pan, however, we just upgraded to a brand new state of the art induction stove top. This pan was meant to replace another brand of the same style. It is advertised as induction compatible but it fails completely as an induction utensil. To cook eggs I had to put the burner on the highest mode and then it took quite some time to cook the eggs. Our other pans respond instantly on a medium setting. Needless to say, since I tried to use it I won't return it. I'll either donate it or throw it out.

I love this pan. I have other sizes of the Bialetti pans. It heats up fast on fairly low heat and stays hot. Nothing sticks to it, and it's a breeze to clean. I fry eggs in it all the time, and have fried many other foods too. I tossed my ceramic pans that made things stick to them.

Like: Very good nonstick surface. Dislike: Even though we have been very careful to heat it up slowly and never cook on high heat it is already bowing up in the center. This seems to be a problem with a lot of the larger pans that are used on an induction stove top. I replace another pan that had the same problem with the center becoming higher than the sides. Don't know how to keep this from happening. So only two stars. I have a smaller size of this same pan and have not had a problem with it bowing up in the center.

Such a super skillet and I am blessed every time I use it due to the size and also the maneuverability. Cleaning is a breeze and as I said, this is my Bialetti pan and from my own negligence and not cleaning the 1st one, as instructed, I more or less ruined it after 15 years. So disappointed, I had to have another one to replace it and luckily, Amazon provided me with that opportunity.
