Q: What kind of clip does this have on it? I am looking for one with the "alligator" type clip.

Sorry this one does not have that kind of clip, it's a plastic loop clip

The one that I received has a metal clip that pinches to hold it on. The metal is smooth and does not have 'teeth' like you would find on an alligator clip. Hope that helps!

It has a slide clip, not an alligator style clip.

Q: How does this attach to a scrub top?

The back of the reel has a metal clip that will slide over material. Not the alligator-type clip with a hinge, but folded metal that will expand slightly with a little bit of pressure. Hope that helps!
