For summer 2024 I installed an Amagenix shade sail (gray 16x20 curved rectangular) in a vertical orientation to block the afternoon sun from the west end of my home. (Photos are of a rough trial installation before fine tuning a week or so later, but are fairly representative of the final setup.) I had it up for the entirety of our warmest months of June through August.At 7000 feet elevation in the foothills of a mountain range, it is often quite windy, and it's not unusual to have wind speeds of 30-40 MPH (sometimes higher) from time to time. This sail shade passed it's first-season test with flying colors, with no apparent signs of the strain it experienced.To give an idea of the forces involved, during the first month one of my lower anchor points failed during one particularly windy afternoon, and while the wind was still ongoing it required nearly all my strength to pull the corner of the shade back into place to reattach it. That was only the beginning; we had several episodes through the summer when the wind was even stronger.All that said, I should point out that the lines to my anchor points are 5-10 feet long, so there is some give in the system (direct attachment of the shade corners to a solid anchor point, i.e. without at least a couple of feet of cordage in between, is not advised by the manufacturer anyway).Since this was just one season of use, I'll try to remember to update this review after more time with this shade, but so far it looks promising.

So far, so good. I bought this sun shade and set it up about a month ago. I use it primarily to park my car under. I considered building a carport or setting up a canopy but decided to go with this because it's not only a cheaper option, it's a sleeker design and looks nicer than those other options. It also keeps my car just as cool as if I were parked under a shade tree. It can be tricky to find anchor points that work for you, I ended up attaching the corners to my house and to two trees on the opposite end. I'll have to see how it holds up over time, but for now, I'm very pleased with the product.

These are great. I bought one to shade my wife's car, and she liked it so much I grabbed a second one to increase the coverage area. You can mount them with simple screw hooks (pictured, not included) and either kite cord (pictured, included) or bungee cord (pictured, not included).I recommend doing bungee for one side and the kite cord for the other, so you have a little bit of flexible tensioning from the bungees but not so much that the whole thing sags.Her car is much, MUCH cooler after all day in the sun under these than it was before installing them. Highly recommended.

I installed this sun shade over my pond. Temps are easily 10-20 degrees less in the shade. One of the corners D rings ripped off within the first 24 hours. I was a little disappointed. Shade material appears to be high quality, but D rings have another fabric that they attach to which I don’t believe is as strong.

Added this to our backyard and it was perfect. Great shade from the sun where we have temps well over 100 degrees here in southern california. The color is a nice tan like the images show. Set up is not too hard just make sure to get the right hardware.

I like the shape of this shade sail. It's a little tricky to get the best placement of anchors without the edges rolling a bit, though. It's up again for the second season this year, and we really appreciated how much it cut down on the harsh sun that we get on the south side of the house last year! Even the garden appreciated it, as the shade moves with the angle of the sun... and even with the shade, it's not solid - just not as bright and hot as it would be if it weren't there. Would buy another when this one wears out!

Looks too much like an industrial tarp, not something decorative for the home.

Water tipping off from all over the shade in case of rain. Not recommended at all.

I liked it so much I bought a second one.
