So I bought a 100 lot of these leather 24inch with 2" chain extension necklaces. They are strong and make it affordable to make necklaces in mass. In the past I have observed that synthetic and leather necklaces look so identical that I can't tell the difference. Still, the truth matters, and I would like to believe that if the product description is leather then the necklaces really are leather. NOT SO! I pulled a single necklace out of the bunch and it was mangled to the point that I could not use it. I cut i to several pieces and lit the ends. Plastic! The ends caught fire easily and when blown out resulted in hard, shiny, balls. This is the hallmark of plastic. I do not mind that they are plastic. I do mind that they were sold to me as leather.
