Great toilet seat and easy to install but the installation instructions could be better. For example, it is not clear how the quick release works. I figured it out though, you just raise both lids and gently wiggle it while pulling up. Very sturdy and looks excellent with our wood floors.

This was very easy to install and very easy to clean. Looks great in our bathroom.

We recently moved into a rental property and the existing toilet seat in the half bath was very stained. The toilet itself was a cream/beige color that we just couldn't find a match for. If it was our place we would have just replaced the whole toilet but since we didn't want to spend our money to give the homeowner a new toilet we figured a wood finish seat would do the trick. Overall its a nice looking seat and it's sturdy. The one complaint is when the boys put the seat up it tends to want to fall down...My husband has had to catch it mid steam..yikes! 😬 This is due to the handle on the toilet itself not allowing the seat to go all the back and not the fault of the seat itself but just something to be aware of.

Butt, butt, butt, it's not only beautiful butt, the No-Slam/Slow Close function, for both the seat & lid work perfectly, not too slow. Sturdy, yet comfortable.

I've had a few wooden and bamboo toilet seats that have cracked and broken often enough that I just couldn't justify replacing one again that was just going to break. I researched online for a long time before deciding on this seat and am really pleased with it. I did have a bit of an issue at first because the seat was slightly warped, so the metal connection bolt was chipping away slightly around the hole. With the help of a friend, we figured out that there was a warp, and that the back was lower than the front. I just so happened to have some additional bumpers right in a drawer in the bathroom (strangely), so I popped those on the back of the seat, a few inches from the bumpers that came with the seat and the problem was solved. This has been a really good seat, the plastic nuts do not loosen, I think I've tightened it once or twice in 6 months, but only because I wasn't sure they were still tight. I like the wood look and the ease of cleaning and durability, I will buy again if I need to, even though there was a slight warp. I know how to adjust that issue with additional bumpers and, since I did that, the seat has not chipped the hole in the toilet and I'm quite pleased with it on the whole.

A toilet seat seems hard to mess up, but the Chinese engineers that designed this thing have done so. It looks like cheap plastic, not wood and is held onto the hinges with socket screws that don't tighten so the seat constantly pops up. It is constructed like garbage. Don't buy it, it will just end up in a land fill.

Points given for easy install and nice finish, which closely matches the cabinetry in that bath. Points off for the seat not being the 19.1" as described in the product specs above. It's a smidge over 18" IF you measure from way back at the middle of the hinges, which are WAAAY back behind the rear of the seat. If you measure from the back edge of the seat itself to the front apex of the seat, its 17.2", which means that, for our American Standard elongated bowl, it is too short and leaves approximately 3/4" of white porcelain smiling up at us from the front of the bowl. I'm also very skeptical of the wearability of the hinges. They look pretty puny and flimsy. Our last seat lasted 10 years, through a lot of use. We'll see how long this one lasts.

Very happy with this purchase. I decided to buy another for the other bathroom. The look and texture stands out with the beautiful dark finish. It is not a soft close, instead it is a heavy solid seat and it will make a loud bang if slammed closed. If you have a household that slams toilet seats then this is not for you.
