Mini Bolt Cutters 8"

Purchased due to an old pair of wire snips breaking while attempting to cut head off of a small screw for double sided bifold door handle. These did the job but required many attempts and brut strength to cut all the way thru. Not a clean cut, still had to file..but got the job done. I wouldn't call them BOLT cutters if they really struggle to cut thru a pretty small screw, but I'm keeping them. Would work great for wire, etc.

So far so good they are cutting both diameters of galvanized hot fire fence wire we use to make chain mail rings. The spring is a bit too stiff and without gloves they do cause blisters on parts of my fingers that do not have calluses already but for 8.01 I will buy more if needed!

Depends on what you are cutting. Memory wire Shears are definitely stronger than this. If I could find a slightly larger set of those, for larger gauge wire, they'd be the better bet. Even thinner gauge didn't cut clean with these on Galvanized Steel.

These cutters worked really well. They can cut metal that regular cutting pliers can't. I have a hard time using tin snips to cut wire and small bolts and these little bolt cutters do a great job- very easy to use and a great addition to my tool bench!

It wasn't up for the job! I could barely scrath a snall bolt and not cut it!

I get that these are mini bolt cutters, but that is no reason why these should be so bad. I bought these to cut a small bolt from my head board. This bolt was about an 1/8 of an inch thick, and this bolt caused more damage to the bolt cutter than the bolt cutter did to the bolt. These are not really good.

Great price for a basic pair of bolt cutters. I used them to trim down the screw backs on some drawer knobs and they worked as expected.

Work well and they're spring loaded so they open up automatically. That's handy when making multiple cuts along wire fencing.
