Best Value for Your Money
To rip off the bandaid, yes, it’s loud. But there are 3 settings to choose from and the first 2 are tolerable. Other than that, this vent is a steal for the price. It fit like a glove and the install couldn’t have been easier. I chose to reroute the wiring to the back of the vent vs leaving it on top to avoid cutting a hole in my cabinet. I was able to wire and mount it myself in less than 15 minutes, unboxing it took longer. Highly recommend.

Overall, very pleased with this smart, solid, well made vent and would buy again.
This unit arrived in 24 hours. I live in Alaska and this is nothing short of a miracle. It installed easily and works wonderfully. There are 3 speeds. Max speed is a little noisy, but for the few minutes you need it, not a problem considering the amazing suction it has. Also uses machine screws instead of sheet metal so you can take it all apart and give it a good clean a few years down the road.

Sleek, easy to use.
This product looks great, it works well, the fan is bit louder than I thought. But I do see the steam from food being sucked right into the vents. There are no filters, per say, but there are grills that you can take off easily and wash, so you don't get gunk build up in your fan. There's also an odd smell to it that we just can't put our finger on. It's not a "new -electronic -smell", nor is it a burning smell...just something dif. Hopefully it dissipates with use. I haven't used it long enough to whole heartedly recommend it, but I wrote my review based on my initial thoughts and about a week with of usage.

Very very low end
Okay, as a builder for more than 30 years I've seen and personally installed numerous range hoods. This was a personal purchase as my wife is a master chef and what my baby wants my baby gets. What my baby got was this fan extracted and a different fan in in it's place rather smartly. Unfortunately we tried this one out for 3 months until she couldn't take it any longer. So ultimately one fan for the price of 2 as we could not return it.At first glance by all appearances the fan seemed as described....wrong. Every aspect of this fan screams poor quality. The finish is poor, the speed switch from low to high has very little variation in suction and noise. Noise, OMG there in lies the biggest problem. This fan has a single blower. When I first tested it before installing it the turbine spun against the gaurd screen, first indication of poor quality. Seemed loud but thought it would improve once installed. That dear comrades was not going to happen. Long story short this is a $100 fan with a poor stainless finish masquerading as a quality fan. Don't get fooled. If you desire a fan that pulls out an excess of 750 CFM while on low selection speed without having to yell through conversation buy a dual motor fan but without question look elsewhere!

Not As Represented
Very disappointed. The range hood appears to be good quality and a good value, but unfortunately there were differences in the one I received versus the one shown in the pictures and description. The one I received could not accommodate a round duct as it showed it could in the listing. I bought it because of this feature and now I can’t use it. Furthermore in the pictures it shows two replaceable lights whereas the one I received has a fixed led light strip instead. This may actually provide more light, but it wouldn’t be as easily replaced if the light failed. Either way, it’s not the item shown in the pics and now I won’t be able to have everything installed with my new range in time for Christmas dinner as planned. Fail.

Updated.
I bought this range hood in August, 2023 and the lighting fixture on the left side has burned out and needs to be replaced. However, you cannot replace just the bulb with this unit, you need to replace the entire lighting fixture. What should have been simple is now complicated. However, after working with a very cooperative customer service agent, this problem was easily remedied and the problem resolved.

Professional looking hood
This is a very nice hood. Installs with various ducting options. A little heavy and the lights are hot but you won't be lifting it after installation and it is over a hot stove so the drawbacks don't mean much.Installation would be a lot easier with a template to install the mounting screws. It took some work, but I was able to install the hood without assistance. It looks beautiful and has a lot of power.Pay attention to the size. It is bigger than the inexpensive ones you get with the builder or at the big box store.

Weird clucking noise (resolved)
The media could not be loaded. Bought this Oct last year. Not even a year old, there is already clucking noise for all the fan speed. Please manufacture contact or rectify this.Updated: Received new unit from Vesta. Company was taking care and giving support swiftly.

The fan can be heard in all settings and may annoy the very discerning
We purchased this hood as an intermediary measure since we intend to redo upper cabinets and are considering cupboardless options. This hood may have us reconsider. It has a very functional 3 speed fan that may be vent to the outside via two types of outlet or up and forward through an installed vent in the face of the unit. The fan can be heard in all settings and may annoy the very discerning, but it does its job without being any noisier than far more costly units. It has two Halogen lights 50 watts each which we replaced for 6 watt LED gu10s and the light is more than ample to see. The unit itself is made of substantial gauge of stainless steel,(not resistant to fingerprints) with a simple electric connection that is nicely concealed from grease build up. The vent grates will fit in a tall tub dishwasher for easy cleaning. These two are made of stainless steel. This unit does not have a lot of bells and whistles, no wifi, LED read out, and it wont criticize your cooking but it does evacuate odors, smoke and steam, provide light, and does so at a great price and looks good doing it.

Value for money, but a bit noisy
Installed the range hood yesterday. Its fairly simple to install, it as hard wired but with a bit still easy enough to do it myself. The ventilation is great, it seems to do the job very adequately. The LED strip light is light enough. The noise level it a bit high, very noisy infact, however for the price I was not expecting anything more.Overall, it looks great! Easy to install and does the job.

Looks nice, easy to clean; good solid quality
Re suction power: You never know what you're going to get hen you buy a range hood, no matter what the specs say. Honestly, will you measure the draw after you install it? Not likely. The ability of a range hood to exhaust properly is strongly dependent on the exhaust run itself, not the motor powering the range hood.In this installation, we chose to run the vent straight up into the attic space of the bungalow and then turn and vent out the side gable end. It works quite well but the tops of the cabinets still get greasy so that indicates that some of the grease from frying escapes, despite running the hood whenever the oven or burners are in use. Frankly, running the hood is more for removing the toxic gases from the gas range but we did hope it would also reduce the grease.Noise: All range hoods that are actually doing anything are noisy. Again this is partly a function of the exhaust run. It seems that since we installed it about 5y ago, the three fan speeds have all become simply one speed; high. There is no discernible difference in noise; all speeds sound like a jet engine and make conversation almost impossible in the kitchen.Installation: There are good directions with the product and the product itself is a good quality build with no bad joins or nasty sharp edges. That said, it is very heavy to lift and hold in place and would be extremely difficult to do by one person. I attached a photo to show how we used shims to hold it up level while we installed the screws into the cabinet above. It took two of us; one to hold it up and the other to put in the shims. We "walked" it up to the correct height using a series of shims on one side and then the other.Quality: The overall quality is good. This is a heavy steel hood and the mechanical buttons feel solid. The lights make the whole range top easy to see. The removable filters are easy to clean and make the hood look very nice.Notes: We had to remove and reinstall the upper cabinet higher in order to have the range hood at the proper height over the gas range. It also made it easier to see the range top since we are a tall family and the previous range hood blocked our view of the back burners on the previous electric range.Like and subscribe if you liked this review.
