It's a very good refresher!
This book offers a comprehensive grammar refresher that covers a wide range of topics, including nouns, possessives, verb tenses, and clauses. It goes beyond the basics and includes advanced English grammar concepts, making it a valuable resource for learners looking to enhance their skills. The clear explanations and examples make the content accessible to various learners. However, the answers section could benefit from better editing, as occasional odd phrasings and inconsistencies can be distracting. Despite these minor flaws, this book is still recommended as a solid tool for grammar enthusiasts and language learners. One star off because I noticed a bunch of typos that could've been prevented with a copywriter. I saw one odd comment: too much writing and English history. I didn't find that at all; this is an advanced ESL book, so you should already have that down pat. If you'd like even more exercises, try the intermediate book in this series, but I suggest buying this one since plenty of exercises are already included here.

Do not recommend to ESL learners.
There are almost no exercises in the book. Lots of history of the English language. This book should have been called History and Development of the English Language.
