Looks great!
Love how these came out. It took a little time to take the old ones out and figure out how best to measure the new length but after doing 3 or 4 you get the hang of it.I used tree limb pruning shears to cut the old wood spindles but a small saw would work too, I was just being cheap. I used a metal blade on my jig saw to cut the new iron spindles. You get about 10 cuts out of each blade before it’s too dull to give clean cuts. I found a 6 pack of blades on amazon for like $7 or something. I used liquid nail construction adhesive for the tops and bottoms. All in all I’d say it took about 15 to 20 hours on and off start to finish.

An update to replace wood railings that were not up to code.
These railings overlook the 2-story vaulted ceiling entry of our mountain home. The 1st railing is on the main floor, which is 1/2 story above the entry and the 2nd railing is on the landing going up to the 2nd story. The balusters arrived in perfect condition and ready for installation. Be sure to order a "foot" piece for each baluster. This is a great update for this area, and so much more safe than the previous railings. I like that they are 40" tall (balusters alone), 43" tall with the banister at the top.
