SHIMANO HG601 11-Speed Chain

I agree with the reviewer who said riding 60-100 miles per week will make this chain last 2-4 months. I've used it longer without it breaking, but it's not good for the drive train. Never had one of these break and I've gone through at least ten of these.

I replaced my road bike chain after six years of riding. First time ever replacing a bike chain it was pretty easy as long as you have a chain tool. I measured it or you can count the links on the old chain. Once I routed it thru the derailleur I went ahead and installed the quick link that was provided. You have to put a lot of pressure on the quick link to get it to snap into place. I went ahead and did a thirty-five mile bike ride and had no issues I felt a big difference on the way the bike rode. My other chain was already stretched out so I’m glad I replaced it. I had a KMC chain but I went with a Schimano chain and I think it rides smoother. If you buy it you won’t be disappointed. Caught a great deal and well the chain is excellent runs well over 20k if you really want to destroy your drive train :)

It’s a chain, works great, will buy again and again when need to replace.

Hopefully this works ok, I didn't realize it doesn't come with a connecting pin, just an easy link. I will not buy again.

I have this installed with my Shimano Utegra 6800 group. Comes with a quick link. Note there is a directional direction for these chains. Works just as well as the Ultegra chain I replaced. If anything, heavier, but probably a little stronger.

Great quality chain. Used it for a rebuild of an old road bike. Love Shimano products.
