Really Great
To me, this is a perfect little book for a guitarist who is not a beginner, but beginning intermediate or so. It has a lot of variety, with a nice collection of both rhythm and lead songs. A lot of books like this tend to focus on drills. But I like Dix Bruce's books a lot because he always focuses on the music itself. It's not much fun to play drills. It's a lot of fun to play actual music. These tunes are not too hard. They focus a lot on basic Carter-style hammer-ons, to get that nice guitar rhythm going. Is really good for building your acoustic rhythm skills, actually. But the solos sound cool and are a lot of fun, too. This book also includes a couple of songs written in crosspicking style, just to give you a taste of it basically. Crosspicking sounds awesome, and I've been learning it ever since starting with Dix Bruce's books. The songs show both music notes and tablature, so no worries if you can't read music. I like to read music but the tablature is helpful too. It is nice to have both.Dix Bruce has put out a lot of quality guitar books. I've bought most of his books, and gotten something good out of all of them. Recommended!

Brilliant
Absolutely brilliant, if your interested in Carter style and bluegrass runs you have to Get this book. Starts out easy and builds with difficulty as you progress. The late Dix Bruce has produced an outstanding book here.
