I wish everyone would watch this DVD
I bought this with high hopes, having seen Dr. Barnard speak to a healthy eating conference. He was very dynamic and convincing.I host my own weekly healthy eating group at my home with friends, so I'm constantly on the hunt for great presentations about diet and health. Our group isn't easy to please; they want it simple, interesting, and air-tight in terms of creibility.Our group thinks this is one of the best we've ever played, which says a lot because we've seen some great ones. Dr. Barnard is so clear and so compelling... What our group likes best is he picks a top like fiber, gives a short presentation on what it does and how it prevents cancer, then you see cooking demos that favor fiber. The DVD has a really good chef and nutritionist teaming up to make some tasty stuff, with recipes.Most of the people who come to our group told how much they wished this friend or that family member could see this...

Great resource.
I bought the book and DVD together as a gift for a friend who has breast cancer. She asked me for diet advice and I found this to be a great all-in-one resource for her. I reviewed the book and DVD prior to gifting it and I found it to be quite good, especially for the beginner who doesn't have advanced knowledge of the benefits of a plant based diet. I even learned some very interesting information myself, such as the role insoluble fiber plays in hormone regulation.

Easy program to change your diet to give you the best possible chance in the fight against cancer
This DVD, and the accompanying cookbook, sets out a simple path to help fight cancer, either for prevention, or to prevent it returning. The lectures show you how certain foods promote cancer and others help fight it. The cooking demonstrations explain how to cook easy and delicious plant-based meals that anyone can make. I love to use this program to teach people how to change to a plant-based diet, whether they've had cancer or not.

THIS SUGGESTIONS IN THIS BOOK REALLY ARE ON TARGET, I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH LEUKEMIA FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS, THIS REALLY HELPED ME TWEEK MY HEALTHY EATING HABITS, THE MORE I RESEARCH THE MORE I FIND THAT DIET IS SUPER IMPORTANT IN SURVIVING CANCER, NOT JUST SURVIVING BUT ENJOYING A ACTIVE HEALTHY LIFE. I AM 69 TEARS OLD AND TAKE NO MEDICATIONS AND INTEND TO LIVE TO AT LEAST 100.

People with cancer are all looking for alternative complementary care. Diet is certainly important, but I am not a big supporter of going totally vegetarian IF one has never been a vegetarian. More importantly is the quality of the foods and how they are cooked. Low temperature cooking is highly preferable. No grilling; no frying. Boil or steam when cooking foods. Grass-fed meats in moderation especially if you are not already a vegetarian.

A Must for Cancer Survivors and A Must for All Who Wish to Learn About Cancer Prevention.
Dr. Barnard discusses research on cancer and how it could be reversed with a plant based, fiber rich diet. His lecture is presented clearly and very easy to understand. The recipes are healthy and delicious. I gave a copy to my neighbor who recently had bilateral mastectomies for breast cancer and speak about it often to family and friends.

Eating Right for Cancer Survival
Dr. Bernard's teaching segments were very brief & often repetitive, but informative. Our group, who was using this DVD only as a learning tool for maintaining optimal health, liked the cooking segments best.
