The shipped lights were received in good condition by this customer. The instructions were simple and assembly was easy. I mounted these lights in my small indoor plant-starter plastic covered greenhouse using plastic wire ties. I mounted two lights each to a shelf (front and rear). When I mounted the light strips, I worried that the heat dissipated from the LED lamps would adversely affect the plastic wire ties and the plastic plant containers sitting on the shelf above. Upon testing the product over a 16-hour light cycle, I found the back side of the lights only slightly warm to the touch. Also, when I put my hand in front of the lights, I did not feel excessive heat, only soft warmth. I have been using these LED light strips on 16-hour cycle for 6-weeks and have had no problems with the power supply (I keep it cool with a fan to extend it's life, it does not get hot, just warm). I bought a second power supply through Amazon to have a spare, since the manufacturer recommends no more than 8-hours per lighted cycle. I purchased one set of these lights years ago. These are still going strong for our tropical plants. We have had Pothos, Philodendron, Fiddle Leaf Figs, Monstera varieties, Hibiscus, and many other tropical light loving plants really thrive with these lights.While on a timer for 8 hours every day, we have only had one strip go out in the last few months.However, these are the right hue or "temperature" for voracious growth on plants. Some grow lights will be too dim or have too much blue in the hue, but these have been perfect.We turn them on at night, because they are so bright and intense that they are not enjoyable to be around - great for the plants, but take care in planning for how you want to use these.I just purchased a second set to help with my planted aquarium to give it a little boost as a little DIY lighting - still waiting on the package to be shipped, but I anticipate that if the quality and intensity is the same as the first set of lighting from years ago, that I will love this next set just as much.If you have been struggling with grow lights being too weak, being too pinpointed in one spot, or having the wrong color for optimal growth, these lights check all the boxes. :)

I have been using my set for a few years, no problem. These work wonderfully! Nice little set for small area. Size is easy to adjust. Material is well made. They have been durable and lasted me a long time. I do turn them off every night, few times I've left them on overnight for over 24 hours and they do not get hot. They stay cool, and are very safe to use. I use them for house plants in the Pacific North West where Winters can be pretty gloomy these work great

I have rigged up a lighting system by recycling an old bookcase, which can fold flat for storage in the garage when the season ends. The lights are easy to install underneath each shelf and work well. Kale seedlings already up and looking healthy, unlike my previous weedy and straggly seedlings. Who needs to heat a greenhouse all year when this system works fine for spring. My only slight regret is the lack of separate switches for each light, or indeed even for the whole unit, and no timer. But I can easily add the latter and unplug strips when not in use. So far, so good.

I installed these today and it was sooooo quick and simple.This company takes great care in packing their product, I have never seen such detail in packaging.I didn't spend much time reading the instructions since it's a simple and basic hookup but I did glance at the instruction manual which doesn't appear to be written by someone fluent in English but they're easy to understand.They give you 3 mounting options. 3M foam tape, screws and cable ties. I mounted mine under my kitchen cabinet and opted to use the tape since I was too lazy to get my drill for the screws.The kit comes with 3 additional extensions which is very generous and allows you to expand your growing area.I've had the lights on for over 12 hours and there isn't much heat. I did notice that my eyesight is affected after being exposed to those lights which concerns me a bit so I'll have to make sure to turn them off when I'm working with the plants.So far I'm very pleased with this purchase, I'll post a follow up if needed.

Overall, these lights worked well for me and then almost exactly a year after purchase, the power block started to to make a high-pitched electrical whine and the lights were flickering so I stopped using it. I emailed the seller just recently so I'll have to see how they respond to it. I combined them with a WiFi outlet to set a custom schedule and found that really helpful since these just turn on as soon as you plug them in.Pros:-Cheap for amount of lights you get and the type of light coverage-Lots of mounting options-Worked well for tree seed starting and for keeping plants alive during winter (mileage varies by plant)Cons:-Produces a lot of heat. This didn't affect me too much, but other have complained about it and if it got any hotter, I'd be uncomfortable using it.-Pink light is kind of unpleasant, but I got used to it. Maybe don't put them in your bedroom like I did.-Power block failed after a year, but that isn't entirely unexpected for the price.Update: The seller got back to me almost immediately (on a weekend too) and offered to replace the power block for free. It's working fine after I switched it out.
