Preparedness for EMP Attack and Solar Storms: A Survival Guide to EMP Weapons, Electromagnetic Pulse, Solar Storms, Solar Flares and Carrington Events

Terrific new entry--
--in the Preppers Apocalypse Guide series. EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) is a short burst pf electromagnetic energy that can come in different forms and may be natural or man-made. At lower levels of intensity it can damage & knock-out electrical equipment, at higher levels it could be akin to a lightning strike which can cause severe physical damage to solid objects... or people. The sun is one big source of EMPs, and so are weapons made by people (read: governments). And these things do exist. Steve has put together a manual both short & eminently practical about just what these things are, busting myths about them (and there are many out there), your immediate survival in the wake of an attack (either natural or man-made), and all the steps you or your family should take in a post-EMP devastated world. One of the keys to this scenario, and it's sobering but well worth keeping in mind: is that in the wake of such an occurrence or attack, one of the greatest risks is how to deal with other people. And Mr. Rayder is very blunt in painting a picture of panic that can set in. We all want to think that we can just get along, and help one another... but that just might not be the case. And everything that you & your family do, or are able to do, will be predicated on how you handle this.If successfully navigated, then there are numerous steps on the more -seemingly- mundane tasks such are making potable water, shelter, food, and everything else. It is a very sobering prospect, but one that cannot be shunted aside given the increasing fragmentation of our world and many desperate characters operating out there on the world stage. Even the sun could play a hand. Neither is really a comforting option.

Or of the better ones
I must have looked at well over fifty of these so-called prepping books, and at least eight on emps. Sadly most of them are worthless if not dangerous. Several were published be people who just skimmed other basic books but had no real knowledge concerning the subject matter as was evidence by their mistakes. This is the first one written not only by someone who has done his research but given it serious thought. A short but basic booko that is worth the money.

Good information, but I was surprised when I finished the book in under an hour! It's pretty short. Guess I was just expecting a book-length book.

Fantastic tips and information
The information and tips are something everyone in this country should know. I have read many books on this subject , but this one is the best. Thank You !

Save your money
The book is small and poorly written. The content is meager, and the details and specifics that a reader would expect are absent. For example, the author tells us that “…some cars will stop dead…some will be damaged…and some will be fine”, but offers no explanation for the variation, nor any criteria to evaluate our own car. Most of the book is simply generic “survivalist” techniques. While the “product details” lists the book as 50 pages, many are blank or contain a few lines. The actual content amounts to 27 pages. The numerous typos, and grammatical errors and the writing style (or lack thereof) strain the credibility of the author and what little hard information the book offered.

Surviving EMP
The contents are well worth the time to investigate and invest in! The actual event of an EMP is very probable.

Interesting
I found this book interesting, although somewhat obvious in places, especially if you’ve done any kind of research on EMP’s. A few things I didn’t know, fish antibiotics & aluminium foil. I am pleased I read this, 44 pages, although about 30 actual reading pages, read in an hour. Would definitely recommend.
