The cable does connect if looking for a MMCX. The mic is the worst quality I have ever seen or heard. This was not a driver issue or anything, it was just that poor quality. You could barely understand anything said into the mic which was the whole reason for buying THIS specific cable. If you need a mic, don't expect anyone to understand anything you say when using it.

This is excellent quality. It's a snug fit for my Shure 846s but connected just fine and I have no concerns of them ever becoming loose. The length is great for my usage, not too long/short, and I love the copper color as opposed to black as these are easy to spot wherever I lay them down. 8-core is definitely the way to go as I've had more expensive & thinner cords that simply did not hold up. These will last a long time. Definitely pleased with this purchase.
