Risky Ingenue
Definitly one of my favorite designs. In the box there's a little thread that is attaching her hair to the box to keep her hair from messing up, there is also clear plastic rubber bands holding her slippers to her feet. In the box she's not wearing her stockings but they are there in a small little plastic bag at the bottom, and she comes with a collector card of her image. You have to watch out for this one when you buy her. You have to do your research before you buy any silkstone. Ask the seller questions and possibly pictures. This one and a few others from the 2007 collection (on the boxes it will say made in 2006 but they are still from the 2007 collection) like the red hot reviews, hollywood bound, and the siren all have a chance of having yellow face. Yellow face is when their face turns a really ugly yellow when it is exposed to light. Not sure if it's sunlight or light in general but so far mine hasn't turned yellow. Her face is slightly lighter than her body, not sure if thats the design or early stage of yellow face. I don't know how long it takes for their face to turn yellow but mine hasn't and I don't want to put it in sunlight to test it out.Don't be discouraged, not all of those models turn yellow just a hand full of them do. Mattel had given the opportunity for barbie collectors to send it back to get it replaced, those ones for sure won't turn yellow but that replacment period has passed and not all of them have been replaced. To know if it's a replacement it will say "This Doll is a Replacement Version" printed on the back of the box above the the product number sticker. The Ingenue is a beaufitul silkstone barbie. I would give her 5 stars but with the risk I'll give it a 3 out of 5. She might be risky to buy but its worth it if she doesn't have yellow face. In this case all the vendors saying "new", "NRFB"(never removed from box)or "Still in factory packaging" are scary to buy because there's no way of knowing if they have yellow face unless the box has been opened and have been exposed to light or not, so ask the vendors.

Too, too perfect - a must have!
The Ingenue Barbie is a silkstone. Silkstone, by the way, is #7 on the Mohn hardness scale. Robert Best and Mattel decided to use the stone (no, it doesn't feel like stones) because they could get the exquisite details of porcelain with a less breakable product.I'd never let my little friends play with the porcelains, but the silkies are strong and stable. The silkie is much more slender than the playline dolls -- she can wear those clothes -- they will be loose -- but the playline cannont wear silkie clothing. This is a fun doll to create a wardrobe for.
