Liquitex Professional Acrylic Ink, 1-oz (30ml) Jar, Carbon Black

When I first learned about black acrylic ink, I was hooked. Then I used this brand and it was a game changer. Nothing comes close. I started using it with line work but then I started using it to fill in. So rich and professional and it doesn’t break the bank. I highly recommend it.

I love using these links, but if you want to colour felt with them, note that you’ll need quite a lot to get any real opacity!

I love these inks, I've been having so much fun with them. Deeply pigmented, so a little tiny bit goes a long way. Wish more of them were available on Amazon, in sets or individually, as I believe there are many more colors in this series. A few are available here in boxed sets, but most require a trip to the art store.

My abstract paintings sometimes need a boost that only comes from mark making. The dropper gives me great control vs using a brush.

Went through a bottle of this during Inktober with nib pens. I also did several line and wash compositions. It worked perfectly under many layers of watercolor. This is my permanent choice for inks drawings using nibs. I haven't tried it in my Rapidograph pens, but I'm reasonably sure it will work fine in them. I've also purchased the kit containing Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, & Burnt Umber to use with other line and wash drawings. This is very black. Definitely check it out if you see it in a local shop. Or try the six pack on amazon which is boxed with 5 other colors.Unfortunately, it is also poorly packed. The small 1oz glass jar with a rubber stopped pipette top tends to get pinched/bashed in shipping. I've ordered three of these in total (different colors), and 2/3 has leaked. The black was shipped in a yellow bubble mailer and leaked not only into the package, but soaked through a corner and no doubt gummed up USPS gear somewhere on the way. The white was shipped in a box with other items and was bubble wrapped by itself in there. The bubble wrap seemed to have been tight and folded over so I thought I was going to be leaving positive feedback on that, but no, it leaked too. The silver I ordered came through OK, but while Meatloaf says 2/3 ain't bad, 1/3 shipping success is bad. Good product (I assume based on the spills), but the purchase experience through Amazon on this was a rare frustration since, with two failures, I have to actually send a broken jar of ink/paint back through the mail. At least I have a ton of loose packed bubble wrap from other AMZ orders to pack it safely.

I've been looking for a BLACK black for my resin pieces and this ink did the trick for me. It didn't take much at all. Definitely satisfied.

Too watery. I also ordered four black bottles and they gave me two black and two white bottles.
