The problem is it seems this was designed for a magnetic cartridge but at the last minute they put in a cheap ceramic cartridge. This causes horrible distortion in the high notes like with horns. I tried a few magnetic cartridges but only a Pickering xv-15 had high enough output to work properly. Installation was not easy but in the end I used double sided foam tape and that worked surprisingly well. The sound is very good with very impressive bass.
