Lady in Waiting: Developing Your Love Relationships Paperback – October 1, 1995

This is absolutely one of the best books I've ever read on God's design for the best man (Boaz) in a girl/woman's life. There are thought provoking questions at the end of each chapter... which forced me to take a hard look at the kind of relationships I have settled for actually, my entire life.One of the assignments I really benefited from was when it was suggested we pick areas of importance to us, based on characteristics of godly men in the Bible. So far I have six character traits I will look for in a man before I even become serious about having a second date with him. I have set my standards high now and the truth is, there ARE men with these character traits... but the number one guy is Jesus. He has set the standard for every guy... therefore, if He did it, that opened the door for every man to know, He can also, if he truly wants, to be like Jesus. These traits are:1.) loving me unconditionally 2.) pursuing ME relentlessly 3.) being a man of integrity 4.)he will be resolute about his relationship with God and me 5.) he will have a generous, open spirit toward me and strangers in need 6.) he will be a restorer and nourisher of my life now and in my old age.

So far some women that have read this book and followed its beliefs and read the Bible have found their Mr Right. It really helped me like myself and be happy being single until I got married. It allowed me to wait peacefully if it was God's will and timing

Amazing book. This is exactly what I needed. It talks about how to become your best while waiting on God to give you to Mr Right. It is true and if you're not ready for a book that asks honest and raw questions, you might not like it. It gets to the root of things and your heart. You have to be willing to answer honestly. While I don't like to admit it, I need to work on these areas of myself with the help of the Holy Ghost. I truly think this is a great book. It also provides a study guide and meditation sections in the back for more in depth study. This is a book I'll read again and again!

I'm still in the process of reading this book, but so far so good. I wanted to find a book that would help myself and my purpose of being a Christian women and how I can serve the Lord. This book does just that and it allows you to question yourself, as well as learn about who you are and can become to be. I think this book also gives you hope and understanding of being a single christian women. I'm really appreciating this book it help me understand a whole and makes me want to better myself as a follower of Christ. I think this book is perfect for any women, of any age, or f any marital status. I also think this would also good for a man to read it provides a lot of understanding and purpose for anyone really. Good book read over all.

Over the years of my life, God has been teaching me to look to HIM ALONE for completeness. And it hasn't always been easy, especially when it comes to my "need" for a husband and a family. Before I read this book, God brought me through some very deep personal revelation, and I got a good look at what was in my heart. He showed me that even if I got everything I'd ever wanted or thought would be "it", that I still would be wanting something more: I would be wanting HIM.My personal journey is a unique one in that I have always had a searching heart after God (or maybe it's more that He has sought ME out). From a very young age I sought to really KNOW GOD PERSONALLY, with "reckless abandon." He's captivated me entirely, and I've come to know Him in such a personal way I didn't know was possible!The first couple chapters of this book have re-affirmed what God has been teaching me all my life: That He wants ALL OF ME, that He LOVES ME PERFECTLY, and that I can only be COMPLETE IN HIM.I hope that one day what I've learned will be a blessing to my future children and their children as well. I want my future children, especially my future daughters, to be blessed through me, through the decisions I make today. I want them to know God as I have, and infinitly more so!, to come to know Him as HE REALLY IS.May God through His Spirit, apprehend you and captivate your hearts, that you may be brought to HIS VERY HEART, to the "so much MORE" He has prepared for His beloved. May He bless this little book, that the words would be living, that they would become truth to your heart. Getting a little personal here, but I really believe that it is needed to show how important and impacting this book was to me.I grew up in the church and believed it all, yet left for a couple years when I couldn't find a church that I felt was "doing church right"Throughout this whole time for more than a decade I suffered from a deep depression. A little over a year ago I just happened to see this book in a Christian book store and my mom bought it for me. Let me tell you, God brought this book into my life at such a perfect time. I don't suffer from the depression anymore and really enjoyed this book. I also loved the study at the end of the book. There are some really great ideas in here and it is a very Bible based book (which is important for me). I've shared this book now with a few people I know in the church I go to now and they really loved it. I've said in other reviews the sign of a good book for me is how much of it is underlined and notes written i it. This one has a lot of things underlined and a lot of notes written.It really gave me a peace and made me want to make the most of the life I am living now until I either find the right person or do something else with my life that God wants me to do. I highly recommend this book for singles, married women (it's good to have a way to encourage the single women in your life), or anyone.

Il nous montre également comment se préparer pour devenir une femme vertueuse. Bref, j'ai dévoré ce livre en peu de temps. Je recommande aussi de faire tous les exercices.

This book is great for single Christian woman. It goes through many different aspects of singlehood and why it is important to wait for God’s best. Each chapter concludes with several questions which is great for personal/ group study! I will be keeping this book for my own daughters to read one day!

I am so glad I found this book. If I say this book changed my life, it would be an understatement. Instead of Dreading my Single days, I am enjoying it. And more hopeful about the future. I feel close to God and committed to becoming the woman God wants me to be. This book is to all women who believe in God and a boost to be a better version.- My daughter
