Holds the Trangia or Inexpensive Version at the Perfect Height to eek out the most heat
I picked up an inexpensive Trangia type stove, it burned okay with the included stand but after some research I learned that I needed to have the pot higher than it was. So I purchased this stainless steel little stand.I've used it quite a few times now, and I can say it holds the stove at the perfect height to eek out every last drop of heat from the stove. I boiled water several minutes faster than at the closer distance. It includes 2 additional trays to hold other stoves and to use solid fuel. I've yet to test out other stoves or solid fuel, but I can see those working just as well. The stainless steel has a nice ball ground finish that feels nice and tactile. even when I got caught in a down pour and the stove was soaking wet, it wasn't slippery. I was able to disassemble the stand. The included case is sturdy and the velcro holds everything in tightly. It will also hold 4 tea bags in sealed packages.I haven't had any issues with wind putting my stove out with this. I have been out making a cup of coffee or tea in light breezes but no high wind yet. This is a great bit of kit to add to your hiking food kit, your coffee outside bag, or just any spot where you might want to use an alcohol stove. Overall I'm highly pleased with this stand.

Excellent stand, good value
Easy to assemble, well made, very happy with it. I use it mostly in moderate weather on day hikes to make coffee with an Evernew burner and Fire Maple XT1 pot which has heat transfer technology. I use the lowest setting on the Zen stand for the Evernew burner (the Zen Stand has 3 height adjustments for burners). The prongs on the stand fit inside the heat transfer ring on the pot which makes a very stable and efficient set up. I am getting 5-6 minute 16 oz water boil time depending on wind using a folding aluminum windscreen. The Zen stand provides some wind protection but needs the help of a windscreen in breezy conditions. This is my go-to alcohol stove set up for day hikes in moderate weather to make coffee. BTW the coffee cup is a 16 oz Snow Peak double walled titanium mug that my sister gave to me some time ago, I’m not sure what it cost but she said it was expensive. I don’t know what the inscription on the side of the cup says which I assume is Japanese since Snow Peak is a Japanese company.

Almost right!
This product has so much going for it. There is so much it gets right, but as other reviewers have explained, there's one serious issue when using a Trangia spirit stove that unfortunately is a deal breaker for me.The fit and finish are impeccable. I absolutely love the sandwashed/bead blasted finish. It's spot on. The perforation holes are also perfect. Extremely well done. The tabs that interface and lock the sides together work very well.I also like how the manufacturer solved the narrow pot issue with a single cross bar, and he even perforated that to save weight. Nice touch.Lastly, I think this stove would excel using solid or gel fuel. The disc made for this is well done, and fits into 3 different height tab slots very well. I'd almost keep the stove just for this use, but unfortunately I need it for my primary Trangia use, with solid and gell fuel being secondary application, and yes - I am looking for a solution to do both. Now let's address the failure point for the product. As another reviewer tried to explain, the internal dimensions and airflow are far too tight in proximity and create too much heat in that space, causing the Trangia stove to start to very quickly over heat. This causes the stove to over pressurize and creates a "thermal runaway" issue where the stove is pumping out way too much pressure and heat. This leads to massively increased flame height (and not in an "increased performance" type of way). It also causes you to more rapidly consume your fuel inside the stove, but not getting equal performance / focused btu output. You're losing fuel potential and not capturing as much energy from the output into your cooking vessel. If the manufacturer would like to contact me, I can help redesign the dimensions and layout to optimize this situation, as well as optimize flame height settings better and improve the stand. I feel this stand has some very good potential, but until this is addressed, using it with a Trangia unfortunately causes major performance hit and more importantly a safety issue, and could also damage your Trangia from massive overheating.

Works well with my Redcloud alcohol stove
I was hesitating to use with my alcohol stove since other mentions the alcohol to gas burn would become too hot with this type of support since it encapsulates the stove closely. So Itoo extra precaution and tried it. I had no ill effect with my stove and it worked. For the size of the stand and position it worked well and I boiled two cups of water in about 8.5 minutes in very windy conditions. The outside temperature was 61 degrees. I like the fact this is compact and will support a very narrow pot. The pot I used was a 900ml. I have a Stanley pot that will not fit on other stove supports that will work on this one. I think this was a good buy.

Light weight for backpacking and collapses flat. Is a great wind break for my alcohol stove. Very pleased.
