I had fun!
Each package contains 4 sealed bags. Each sealed bag has about one moderate portion, 440 calories. No noticeable nutritional value, but at least it lacks the garbage in prepared snack foods.I boiled the contents in water with olive oil, until the water had almost completely boiled away. The result was soft 'n chewy inside and kinda crispy outside. Delightful with a soy sauce/brown sugar/pineapple flavoring. If you're curious, find a recipe for making these from scratch: mainly rice flour.

Horrible smell
The smell was really weird and even after I made it with my budalk noodles, the texture was grimy. Just nasty.

Best rice cakes I have purchased
I like that these are individually packaged so the entire bag isnt opened all at once, as I have learned, they do go bad after opening. The are easy to make and a wonderful addition to noodles, etc. They are soft and cook fast. Definitely recommend

NOT CHEWY, TOO SOFT
I was surprised at how soft these were. I put them in boiling hot water after soaking in cold water for a while, and within a minute I touched one with my paddle just to test it. To my surprise, it cut into two pieces when I used almost no pressure touching it. Next, I touched one with my finger and it just squashed flat. I couldn’t eat them, but MyungOk insisted that they not be wasted despite their soft lack of texture, so she sort of mixed them with her rice and made do though she said they weren’t made right. I’m a huge fan of nice chewy rice cakes, and always make my own sauces for them using doenjang, a dab of ssamjang & Korean soy sauce, etc. You can easily make your own sauce for tteokbokki and I highly recommend that you try it!
