Dead on Arrival: The Politics of Health Care in Twentieth-Century America

Academic and revealing read
I used this book to write my Capstone thesis in Healthcare Administration. It's written well, is highly academic and well documented, and covers a large traverse of history with regard to the United States and our broken health insurance industry. It is one of the most insightful books that I have ever read and a must for anyone who wonders why our system is subpar. It is loaded with tons of historical research and was not given to sensationalism or politicization. The ugly side of policy is exposed for examination.
