Excellent sword for the price!
The sword exceeded my expectations!! For display purposes it’s perfect. I would definitely purchase another one. It came timely, the blade and scabbard were oiled and they fit together properly. The blade was relatively sharp, but that wasn’t important to me because I will only display it in my “man room”. If you are interested in a high quality precision made sword with exquisite detail, fit and finish then you should find one that will cost a lot more money. Your choice. For $44, this ones the real deal for me.

Very nice but engraving is too conspicuous.
My son loves everything history and is a walking history book! He loves this replica Calvary sword. The only problem is that the maker very sloppily engraved INDIA on the upper part of the blade near the handle. I wouldn't have minded if it were smaller and inconspicuous, but it is large and you can clearly see it. He still loves it though.

Great saber for reenacting , interpitation.
Nice saber for the price , very detailed in appearance. Edges of hand guard or rounded , not like others that are rough cut and look terrible. Has a natural feel to your hand , good balance on the weight.

Can't believe it's as nice as it is for this price
Can't believe it's as nice as it is for this price. Outstanding value. Bought it for a costume, but it's nice enough for display. Unless you are planning to actually use this as a sword for defense, I can't imagine why you would buy one anywhere else at a higher price.

The surface finish isn't that great but the sword is sturdy and fits well in the hand. the scabbard is pretty much one solid metal piece. there are no straps for the two loops. in short they made it work before they made it look pretty.

Kind of Unfinished, more than in Pictures
Nice. Leather grip pulled out, unraveled a little. I repaired it by carefully stuffing the pulled out loose leather back into the handle top. Very difficult to draw sword, or to put it back into the scabbard. Probably because there is a lot of rust down inside at deep end of scabbard. When I draw sword from scabbard, there's rust on the tip. Outside of the scabbard is rough, clearly shows the polish job was half done - much more than in the product picture. I will eventually finish out the polishing job myself. Brass handguard is also far less finished than in photo. Blade says "INDIA" at base, but I easily removed with Dremel, because country of manufacture is etched into base with a vibrating etcher. Blade medium sharp, or barely sharp (as it should be). Overall, for less than forty bucks I liked it okay (considering I want to repair it!) But forty five bucks?
