Bosch CK2 6-Piece Quick Change Conversion Kit

With this kit, I can eliminate about a dozen mandrels plus this makes them all quick disconnect. I am on my third Bosch electricians kit and with these I can add size saw to complement the electricians kit. Great price, Bosch quality. Who could ask for more.

Great product. Anyone who uses hole saws knows they are always swapping bits on and off the arbor to remove the plug, swap sizes, ect. several times for one hole. These work great for that, a winner. Bosch has this system over a wide range. I have their expensive carbide tipped hole saws and bought these to add other cutters to the set.They are probably built too light duty for heavy use in a Hole Hawg or Super Hawg. These are more suited for cordless drilling, not for going through nail embedded plates and headers. The hex shank is smaller than a standard large arbor.

These are not always available everywhere, but what a great option. For long-term storage, I leave mine initially threaded so I can quickly tighten (not to over-strain the spring) and use. The quick release mandrel (other part sold separately) makes switching out sizes & drill bits uber easy.

What to say??? It's a quick change kit for hole saws.. Not many competitors in this field anyway. I picked up the PCM38 a few weeks ago and liked it enough to pick this up for the rest of my hole saws

Something I don't understand about the CK2 kit is that the washers included for the small adapter nuts are too large to fit properly.The CK1 kit which includes 4 large nuts without the locking pins is equally lacking and comes with no washers at all. Someone at Bosch didn't think these kits through properly. I would have included small washers with the small nuts and large washers with the large nuts and added more threads to the nuts to compensate for the thickness of the washer.As could be expected from a quick change system, run-out with the hole saws can be an issue. Some adapter nuts are made better than others and you'll find that you can reduce or eliminate the run-out by rotating the adapter nut to one of the other 5 hex positions possible in the mandrel. Sometimes this works, sometimes not. Either way it partially defeats the purpose of a quick change system wasting some time testing if the hole saw runs true. This is why I gave the product 4 out of 5 stars. Be sure that the top of your hole saw is flat (paint even, etc) so as not to further compound the run-out (something Bosch has probably taken into consideration with their own hole saws).Something else I have noticed about the Bosch holes saws with the power change adapter nuts, is that of the three nuts (small, large, large with w/ locking pin), Bosch always uses a nut with no-pins and adds a washer even though the hole saws have been drilled for the pins. This is obviously a cost saving measure but I wonder if the addition of the thin washer improved contact and reduces the chance of run-out.If you don't have a set of hole saws with these adapters I'd recommend buying a complete Bosch set that does rather than select a favorite brand of hole saws and try to adapt them to this quick change system.

These work great. Saves time.

Good idea but the standard pilot bit does not reach far enough out (too Short). and I had of the tightening nut come off as I was tightening the hole saw on to the and had to use a hammer to get the nut back onto the arbor as it it just fixed on bay serration and friction!
