One thing you should know is that it comes quenched and hardened. It is a pain to drill through without carbide bits. I had spent a pretty penny on this damascus trying to use it to make a knife.Well, while making this knife through stock removal I began polishing one of the ends and found a 3/4" defect in the middle of the metal.I tried grinding it out. Didn't work. I don't know how deep the crack goes, but the knife is worthless.
