Old Mountain Pre Seasoned Rectangle Baking Pan, 8 3/4 Inch x 16 Inch

Actual inside measurements at the bottom of the pan are 7”x11.” This is only 13” at the top but loses 2” as it tapers off to the bottom. It’s barely bigger than a loaf pan.

This pan arrived broken in 4 pieces. Before you say "Well that's the fault of shipping and not the product," I've ordered many Lodge pans from Amazon and none have ever arrived broken. That causes me to suspect the quality and workmanship.Thankfully the replacement arrived in one piece. It's smaller than what the title suggests; It's slightly smaller than a standard 9x13 baking pan. I got this because I wanted to make lasagna in cast iron, and Lodge does not sell a rectangular pan.

We bought this pan while trying to cook an old family recipe. We found it easy to cook with and easy to clean. If we had to state a down side, it would be that we found pan is a bit heavy. If you are used to cooking with modern, light weight pans, this will take some getting used to. All in all, we are more than happy.

I bought this pan to use instead of the griddle that came with my Samsung stove (which tends to spill over the sides and make a mess) since I love cooking with cast iron. Unfortunately it looks like something that should have been discarded off the assembly line, with edges so sharp they could cut your fingers left on the handles and a rough uneven bottom. Since I needed this particular size we copied the example of other reviewers and used a grinder to repair the pan, however if you're not set up to finish the manufacturing process at home this pan is not recommended.

We bought this to improve our Thanksgiving and it certainly did - my husband chose to grill the turkey this year (our first year hosting as well) and was frustrated trying to make those cheap tinfoil pans work to his needs. Cast iron was the ideal alternative and after much searching, we found this pan.Perfect size, wonderful quality and a fair price with a quick delivery. I may have just become a cast iron addict!The turkey came out fabulous, by the way :)

Good little CI pan. I have used it 5 times since getting it. Just wish there was a lid for it.

We are used to seasoning our own pans in the camp fire and keeping them greased; however, we ordered this item and it was Pre-Seasoned. It's true...ready for cooking and we didn't have to do a thing. We have already used it and the depth of the pan and the fact that we did not have to take the extra time to "treat" our new pan was a major plus. Love this item.

I love this pan. Wish they made one just a little wider though for cooking a 8-10 pound roast.

I received this item and it is not finished right in the right handle ,it is very sharp and jagged and would surely cut your fingers or hand. What do you suggest I do ? Patricia Hall
