This is a great product & company. The granite is beautiful and the size and shape are perfect for what I was looking for in a mortar and pestle. The price is very reasonable! This mortar is fantastic! My husband wanted something that was larger than the 1 cup one we had and one that was heavier. We got the 4 cup one as he is on a soft food diet. I found this one and decided to try it out, love the color! This thing is heavy and sturdy, comes with a non slip mat and you can grind things quickly and well. He uses it every day and said it was the best birthday gift he has ever gotten. He loved the seasoning you do when you first wash it and then grind garlic into it to season the marble. I highly recommend this one. I will say while sitting in the computer room I heard a loud noise outside, the postal worked just dropped it on the cement porch! I was so afraid it was cracked or broken, but it was perfect!

Great item, does the job, good instructions on how to season it. For me just the right size. My son in-law bought a large one when we went down to Mexico ( which was a nice one also) but having to lug that thing was a real pain. I appreciate the quality and Amazon shipping right to my front door.

Huge! Works really well for larger volumes. Careful doing the initial preparation of the stone - managed to file down the skin on my finger tips!
